"Don't Call Me African-American" says he

In response to my article and video "I'm not African-Amercan" says he, many people defended themselves saying that they hadn't been to Africa and denied being from there.

All original people, Nubians (Blacks), came from Africa.

"But I never been to Africa."

Now apparently they didn't read the last paragraph. Italian-Americans call themselves Italian, even 3rd and 4th generation. Sweedish-American call themselves Sweedish, again even 4th generation. It is only in the Nubian community that we find a major sector of the group that does everything they can, to distance themselves from both their heritage and their continent of origin.

This country has a history of treating Nubians as second class citizens, and sub-humans. It would behoove us then, to be excellent, better than whites, in all things, and to eggregiously remind them that we are Nubians, and that the motherland and origin of man, is in Africa.

"Most Black folk don't even know where they came from in Africa."

Of course 80% of the African-American population that do not know their actual country of origin is in Africa.

• We were destroyed for 60 years. 
• Our families were destroyed. 
• Our names were destroyed. 
• Our heritage was destroyed. 
• Our religion was destroyed. 
• Our culture was destroyed.

It is no mystery 200 years later they cannot trace their root beyond 5 generations. Yes, even Nubians can trace their predecessors 5 generations up.

A lot of people think that Articles like this, speeches like this and debates like this are unnecessary. The problem is, the conversation has never taken place, even between Nubians. The general population reads things like this and bury their heads in the sand, hoping it will go away.

Nubians were rounded up, slaughtered, psychology destroyed, sold into chattel slavery, treated like chattel by society and by the law of the land, "set free", and are still treated like chattel to this day.

The national opinion of Nubians is that we are still sub-human chattel, unfit for anything other than physical, low-paying labor. It doesn't matter that one half-Nubian became president. It doesn't matter than one Nubian is an astrophysicist. It doesn't matter that one Nubian is a brain surgeon. The national opinion is that Nubians are unfit and not to be trusted.

Until Nubians realize this, comes to terms with this, comes to grip with this and realize that we cannot change opinion, and that we do not need to change opinion about us, then and only then can we proceed to the next logical step.

The jews put out holocaust pictures, movies, television shows, documentaries every month. No one says they are harping on the past. But, if a Nubian says that Nubians are being mistreated in this country presently, they are told, "stop living in the past, stop bring old things up."

"I'm Not African-American," says he

You have to realize a lot of "Black" people hate being Black. And even worse, being reminded they came from Africa. I'm not going to put labels like "self-hate" on them, but ... there you go.

Now, as for me personally, I am OK with being called:

African-Americans

• negro [which simply means Black]
• African-American [which is descriptive, and since I'm an artist, I think in color anyway, unlike most people who actually think in black and white]
• Black [which is short, quick and to the point ]

I for one, am not hating being Black. I lived in Africa. It's the richest continent on the planet, ... uh ... natural-resource-wise, but the IMF / World Bank has raped every single country there and colonialism has NOT stopped ... but I digress.

Back to the self-haters ... so Black folk are now making videos against being called African-American. It is a slap in the face of everyone of those people in the 60s that were shot, mamed, jailed, beaten up, dogs sicked on, abused, just so white people would recognise us as 1. humans and 2. Americans just like everyone else. I'm not some idiot that doesn't study history, and the 60s is frankly not that far back, i mean ... seriously.

For Black people to sit up here in turn of the mellenium and act all high minded, is pathetic. People died so we could be called African-American and not colored or worse. It's pure ignorance and hubris to put their memory to shame.

One Black guy made a video claiming he had never been to Africa ... :/  Nor have half the Italians alive in this country, but will say point blank they are italian ... or scottish ... or irish ... or french ... or german .... or japanese ... or korean.  Only Black people have a problem with where they're from.

At the end of the day WE'RE ALL IMMIGRANTS.

Clubbing While Black

I have never felt more alone than when I'm in a crowded room of 200 white people.   I mean I have nothing against white people, they just have something against me.  Now, when I say that, they act all offended that I speak the truth and tell me how open minded they are and how color blind they are.  Let's explore all the open minded, color blind white people that live in America.  There is nothing worse, in my mind, than me going somewhere spending my money, in a place where people don't want me.  In fact, I consider it a high sin, to reach into my pocket and support a place with a bunch of bigots walking around me eying me like I'm an escaped convict.

I happen to have money to live in an area where I am virtually surrounded by white people.  I didn't ask their permission to move in, so it's not their fault.  I happen to have money to be able to go and get into clubs that white people frequent.  I did not double check with them to see if that was ok, so it's not their fault.  I happen to have enough money to be able to pay cover charge, and check my coat in, into some pretty popular clubs around the city.  I did not send in a requisition with the white folks, it's not their fault.

No matter how crowded the club is, I always receive VIP status.  I mean, I must be a VIP.  I have no less than 5 feet of space, no matter where I stand, in the club.  I have no less than an entire radius of empty tables around me at all times, in the club.

However, I must have magical powers or I must be a daywalking vampire.  Why do i say that?  Because when I go up to the bar to get a drink, I am invisible.  I have literally pasted a one hundred dollar bill to my forehead and wore all white and still did not get served.  In fact, I have stood at the bar, sometimes, for 10 minutes waiting to be served, a white person walks up and the bartender rushes to take their order.  So I am a VIP, daywalking, Black vampire.

Speaking of Black, as much as people want to tell me about their best Black friends, they are not talking about my kind of Black.  I am deep brown and a pure blood.  They do not know my pain.  They are talking about a biracial Black person.  These biracial Black people get a pass all day long.  Most whites now consider the biracial to be nothing more than latino or Indians, from India.

Oh, I'm exaggerating?  I went to a club with one of these famous biracial Black guys.  He was two shades darker than a white man with a tan and had funky weird not Black hair.  You know the kind, I'm talking about.  He was also about 21 going on 16. The guy looked like a kid.  Now mind you I'm a solid 31 year old and I look exactly 31 years old, all day, every day.  They did card him.  Barely looked at his ID and waved him on.  Me, the security eyed my card and called the manager over and said my ID was fake.  What's the difference?  I'm 6'2, 220lbs of pure muscle and am unmistakably pure blooded African prince.  They asked me to leave.  They did not have to ask twice.  The irony of the situation was that I was going to treat the kid to some drinks and he had no money.  I had about, you guessed it, one hundred dollars in my pocket.  And, I will never go there again.

You see white people and the biracial Blacks have no idea what it is to be a deep brown brother in America.  I'll repeat that, since most don't understand it.  A deep brown African American is stigmatized by EVERYONE, including by biracial Blacks as well.  With the invasion of Mexicans and other non-white mixes coming into America, the biracial Blacks are written off as simply being non-white.  They have names now for them: Blatino; Mexicoon; Blasian; Puerto Rican; Blussian; Polynegran.  In other words, they're not Black.  And, they proudly admit they're Blatino or whatever and will argue with you that they are not Black.  I say more power to them.

But, let's get back to the club.  I'm sitting in a club the other day and 4 young ladies walk in, all white of course.  They have with them their mother.  And, they are eying me.  No no no no, not eying me to check me out, they are eying me to clutch their purses closer to them and moving as far away from me as they can.  A barfly comes up to me and asks why am I sitting alone and not talking to other people.  I reply, they are not talking to me.  He goes back to his friend / date.  He must have gotten bored with his date or something.

Let's rewind a bit.  I used to wear designer clothes.  You know the kind, $400 for a shirt, etc.  I go to a club, wearing probably about $2,000 worth of clothes.  I am in the VIP line, because I was in fact on the list.  The doorman stopped me and said I couldn't come in because my shirt did not have a collar.  Wait, before you get all logical and say, that's a reasonable request.  I tell him to look at the line of the non-VIP people and how they are letting white guys with shorts and sandals in the club.  He said he didn't care and I wasn't getting in.  It just so happened that the person that put me on the list, "the talent" just walked out the door and saw me.  He brushed by the doorman, ignoring him, and grabbed my arm and led me inside personally.  I wasn't just on the VIP list, I was personally invited.  I was taken to the VIP section, which was quite boring.  I was then asked by all the other VIP people, "why are you up here?"  Yes, they were white people.  I found the lower lesser beings far more interesting than the VIP crowd. I left after a long evening and "the talent" came up to see us after his performance.  I never went back.

Normally the "xyz while Black" stories normally end with the police arresting some unsuspecting Black person for no other reason than being Black.  Unfortunately, I have no such stories.  However, after a long time of clubbing, I was told that there used to be several Black clubs in town.  They were very successful, but that each one was shut down by the police for one reason or another.  Hell, any reason will do.  I had gone to one, at one time.  It was very expensive and their dress code was through the roof.  It was no problem for me, because I was used to dressing up to go out.  They not only closed down the club, but they demolished the building.  There is no way that that club did not make untold riches.  Everyone there was Black, from the doorman to the owner.  It had valet parking, the whole nine yards.  Its one mistake?  It was located in a white neighborhood.  I wasn't there when police came, but I cannot imagine anyone needing to call the police on the place.  It was very high class.  There are a lot of clubs out there that pretend to be high class, simply to scam you out of your money, but this club legitimately had a wine collection and liquor that cost $250 per bottle.  I'm sure you know clubs that will try to charge you $250 for a bottle of liquor or wine, but this club had them.  I just happen to know this because I studied wines and liquors in school.

Everyone talks about Patron as being high end tequila.  Let me clue you in.  Patron is sewage water.  It is literally considered what poor people drink.  However, cross the border into America and slap on a nice ad campaign and any liquor is passed off as high end liquor, tequila or whatever you want sell.  Americans don't know what's good quality in liquor or wine.  They want one thing now, go to the club and drink so much liquor they can't see straight.  Come next weekend, they'll do it all over again.

Why shouldn't they go overboard with their drinking?  Everyone tells them that alcohol is terrible and shouldn't be touched.  So, they are deprived of alcohol and once they have the opportunity, they get wasted out of their mind on liquor and booze.  Let's through in the puritanical way their raised to feel about how sex is bad and horrible and you have a one two punch of sex and alcohol.

In the mean time, I'll be in my VIP section observing, sipping on my drink for about an hour, in my land of being completely avoided by everyone in the club, for fear I might ... turn into some even Blacker hulk and start raping white women or something crazy, whatever is in their white mind, while they scurry away from me.  It is all so hilarious.

I am running out of clubs to go to, that won't act like I have leprosy when I'm paying green cash.

Like I said, it is a high sin to pay hard earned money in a place that is more bigoted than George W Bush and David Duke.

Leon Washington Goes to High School

Washing Your Black Kids Out of School and Life

Leon's Tale

Leon was always a big kid.  He wasn't too fast of a runner, but he could move his junk in a hurry.  When a high school coach sent him a letter before he left middle school telling him to try out for the football team, he was happy as a tic on a toad.  He tried out and of course made the team.  For four years he was on the football team.  He never missed a practice, but he also never studied.  He never turned in homework and football became his life.  He went on every trip and every home game.

When his mama asked him about his school work he simply said, it was taken care of or it was done.  When his senior year rolled around noone came to his house to ask him to join their college team.  He got no letters offering full scholarships to a university.  In fact everyone was silent.

Come graduation time, he was off the team, and unfortunately he was called to the counselor's office.  Leon had flunked every test he took.  While in the counselor's office he was asked to read this and that.  The counselor quickly realized that Leon couldn't read on any functional level.  A letter arrived a week later.  Per the counselor's recommendation, Leon was flunked out of school completely.  The counselor had gone back and audited every class he had taken in high school.  She had retroactively flunked him out of every class that required any reading.  Leon only had a shop class and four years of P.E. class to his credit.  The school district fully backed the counselor, at a hearing called for, by his mama.

When Leon applied to take the GED, he was refused because, by law, he didn't have sufficient skill to even take the test.  In fact, the application he submitted to take the GED, even with help from his mama, who was no help at all, was illegible and poorly done.

Meanwhile, the coach was filling out more letters to big middle school kids around the district.  His fall roster was nearly filled already.  Twenty fast food stores had opened up since last year, and the while the school district do-gooders were panicking over an increase in child obesity, the coach was happier than a hound on a gut truck.

Tyrone's Tale

Tyrone had never been a great student.  He was happy to get a D - on his report card.  He never understood school, nor why he was in it.  He was all about "gettin dolla bills" as he put it.  When he was approached about joining the basketball team at college, he didn't know what to think.  He got a full ride though and so, he didn't have to worry about student loans, much.  He did have to take out a loan for room and board.  In his sophomore year in college the coach gave him a car.  It wasn't a big car, but he was happy to ride in it.  The girls at school loved to ride in it too.

One girl decided she had had enough of other girls riding in "her" man's car, and she made it known that she and Tyrone were serious and he should stop letting the other "hookers" ride in his car.  After that, only she rode around in the car.  She even drove him around.

Tyrone did get game time, on the team, but he never started.  He just mainly went to practice and sat on the bench.  He practiced hard, thinking he could be like Jordan one day.  But, the coach never saw "whatever" in him and he never started.

Four years went by and his eligibility was up, since he had been held back in grade school a few times.  The coach told him he was off the team.  However, he had not graduated.  The coach told him, he might be able to play overseas, but he was not good enough for pro-ball here in the states.  When he went to the student center, the student adviser took one look at his file and shook his head.  The student worker was not very polite about it and was completely unsympathetic.  He felt that Tyrone had gotten special treatment in school and was passed by teachers with C's and D's just based on the influence of the coach and not by any actual school-work Tyrone had done.

Tyrone got an agent and landed regular seasonal tournaments around the nation.  He never graduated, nor received a degree.  He never went overseas, nor made any money to speak of.  After a short 5 years, all of his tournament money dried up and he no longer was eligible to pass the physicals to go.  The girl he had met in college dropped him when he was dismissed from the basketball team.

At the end of the day Tyrone was functionally illiterate and could not understand enough to even write a check properly.  His agent took all of his money and he ended up penniless.

Meanwhile the college scout made his rounds to find more guys to fill the bench for the basketball team.  He was told to pick guys good enough to make a couple of points, but not good enough to outshine the stars of the team.  The coach had too much invested in the stars for them to be outshone by some upstart.  The scout had a list of black kids he felt were perfect.  He got in his rented Lincoln Town Car Sedan and headed to his first game.

Conclusion

I interviewed several athletes to come up with these two scenarios.  Also in college I was approached more than once to serve as a surrogate for an athlete in certain classes.  I never did it though.  What's worse, I know first hand that some athletes never go to class at all.

Of a 100 man team, about 80 of the teammates will never see the light of day, as far as the sport is concerned.  It is a complete waste of time for them to even be on the team.  They are there simply to play backup to the real players.  The smarter ones become coaches, at some point, but they have to get their school work done.  These individuals are about as rare as the star athletes though.

Call it racist or not, a lot of Black kids fall into this.  I read somewhere that around a whopping 70% of all Black students in high schools will be involved in one of the major 3 sports, taking up a majority of their time, to the point where their school work comes in a distant 2nd place.  When it's all said and done, those 70% will be washed out of school and out of the system of life.  So you have an overwhelming majority of Black kids who are tricked into playing some sport they have no talent for, only to end up with no education and no future.  This is repeated over and over and over every year.

I won't say it is a conspiracy, but I'm just saying, it sounds like a conspiracy.  The numbers are too large to be a coincidence.  And, you know what the intelligence community says about coincidences, "there is no such thing as coincidence."  There is even instances where judges sentence students to join a team instead of go to juvenile detention or jail, putting them in a weird sort of custody of the team coach, as an acting probation officer.  This might look great on paper, student staying out of jail, but what if you did research and found that the "crime" was all made up, and that these "made-up crimes" popped up all over the country?  Does that reach the level of conspiracy, in your mind yet?

I heard quite a few sad tales of untalented "athletes" whom I knew were going nowhere, wishing they could go pro.

If you are a parent with a kid in sports, unless he's a super star, make sure he is getting his home-work and attending his classes.  Do not set your own kid up to be a failure in life.  I beg you.

Shakaama's 2010 Rating by Boy / Girl and Race

Rating by Race and Gender

This is the annual Rating by gender and race.  If any one person is offended, then you're doing it wrong.  If it doesn't apply to you, then you're doing it right.  This is done by scientific method.  Many ghetto fabulous pollers hit the pavement in search of people's attitudes of who people think are , not and just plain a mess.  Buckle up because it is no holds barred.  Most people did not hold back when giving their opinion.  Some had to be beat down to get them to shut up.  Ghetto fabulous pollsters never call the cops, so a beat down, Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-style, was the normal method of getting people to shut up.  Noone was seriously hurt in the process and we got a lot of data.  A lot of answers were almost the same response.  We immediately noticed a trend in most answers.  Here we go:

The question was:

"Of the following list, who would you date or not date, for a serious relationship and why or why not?"

The list of course was men / women and broken down into racial categories, and no LATINO is not a race, idiot people.  For purposes of defining race: central and southern Americans are considered European white mixed with Native American.  Haitians are considered Black.  Puerto Ricans, Cubans and Brazilians are considered Black mixed with European whites and/or Native Americans.  For purposes of the questionnaire then, the break down of the Americans south of Texas were considered Black or white, depending on their dominant racial make-up.

Responses

White Chicks

• not worth dating
• nice to look at
• too expensive and demanding
• gives up the vagina too easily
• gets fat almost overnight

White Dudes

• not worth dating
• looks range from dorky to hill billy
• money ranges from broke to rich
• no fun to be around
• gets fat after 25 years old

Black Chicks

• not worth dating
• not nice to look at
• while they don't demand a lot of money, their attitude disqualifies them, noone wants to deal with their attitude
• gives up the vagina too easily
• gets fat almost overnight

Black Dudes

• nearly across the board the hands down favorite
• nice to look at
• money ranges from broke to rich
• fun to be around
• if they're not fat when you meet them, they hardly ever get fat

Asian Chicks

• nearly across the board the hands down favorite, except they hardly ever date outside their race. the positive responses then were, in my opinion, people thinking how they were, since hardly anyone ever dated one.
• nice to look at, except their body parts are usually more petite [ breasts and derriere ]
• they are not demanding and act out quite the traditional lady / woman role
• they do not give up the vagina easily, so it is a more traditional circumstance of dating one, they trend towards looking to get married,
• they hardly ever get fat and nearly none are fat to begin with

Asian Dudes

• nearly noone ever dated an Asian Dude, except Asian Chicks, there was nearly noone that responded to Asian Dudes [ I have soooo many Asian guy friends.  I found this fact funny. ]
• no data
• no data
• no data

Native American Chicks

• 2nd favorite across the board to date, while there were a lot of negatives for these chicks, the overall response was that they were dating material and not trash material
• while they weren't generally considered nice to look at, they did have larger body parts than Asian Chicks
• they are not demanding and act out quite the traditional lady / woman role
• they give up the vagina easily, this was a huge negative for dating, but even still, because of their very nice attitude a lot more men, across races, still wished to date them.  While they weren't as conservative as Asian Chicks, they also were far more approachable.
• gets fat almost overnight
• tend not to speak English

Native American Dudes

• 2nd favorite dude to date.  they have some flavor [ like Black Dudes ] but they aren't as snobby as white dudes, and treat their women very nicely
• nice to look at, ranges from bad skin to a whole lot that look nice, however they are all nearly too short.  fashion became an issue, they all trend towards a non-traditional American look, which is off-putting
• money is a problem, they nearly all have entry level jobs, which, while they have spending money, it's never enough to constantly keep a white girl-friend or even a Black girl-friend
• fun to be around
• if they're not fat when you meet them, they hardly ever get fat
• tend not to speak English

Results:

1. Black Dudes were the hands down favorite dude to date.  And, that is date, not just screw.  Everyone responding to dudes, said they all had had gender  with the dudes, except a large minority of white dudes, people had not had gender with. [ I'm assuming these were nerds or maybe they were gender ]
2. Asian Chicks were the hand down favorite chick to date.  And that is date, not just screw.  Everyone responding to chicks did not have gender with the chicks.  [ so i guess, some chicks are still keeping their legs closed.  Good for them. ]

Conclusion

The shock was that white girls and white guys were not the favorite.  In fact a lot of people accused white chicks and white dudes of copying other races' behaviors.  So, instead of dating a white dude that acts like a Black dude, they'd prefer to just date the Black dude.

A small percentage of people said that white dudes tended to be pervy, and therefore creepy and not dating material. A small percentage of people said that Asian dudes tended to be pervy, and therefore creepy and not dating material.  Therefore, I conclude that being more boring in bed, makes you better material for dating and people aren't afraid to strike up a relationship with you.

Almost everyone felt very secure and easy about dating all the different racial groups.  Only white respondents, to the questionnaire, said they did not date outside their race, more than any other group.  Other races said they had never dated an Asian chick or Asian dude, but neither Asian chicks or Asian dudes saw any problem with dating outside of their race personally.  Meaning, people who are not Asian, don't think Asians date outside their race, but Asians personally felt comfortable dating outside their race.  I guess it's all about perception.

A large minority of Black chicks responded that they would not date other races, but the majority did not say that, they felt comfortable dating outside of their race.

Real Black Men Like Natural Hair

The Natural Hair Style

Turn on the T.V. and all you see are Black women with permed, blond, weaved hair down to their butt, fake nails longer than their own fingers, and boobs the size of basketballs, standing at attention higher than their own necklace.  They are just fake fake fake.  If we are to ever overcome the stereotypes hoisted on us, we need to first embrace that we are in fact AFRICANS.  I know so many people, I went to school with, at an all Black University, that would go into full pits of hell mode if you called them anything remotely relating to African.  The fact is, we came from Africa.  We are a transplant just like the white people so many of our lost sheep idolize.

By embracing our Blackness, we also need to embrace our hair.  We have curly coiled hair.  And, what is great about our curled coiled hair, is that we can do so much with it, unlike straight lifeless hair that other people have.  I have seen so many beautiful African godesses walking around with natural African hair that I've wondered at why any Black woman, worth her salt, would dare perm and damage and prematurely bald her own head.  It is a travesty.  And, for those that say it's easier to comb, you're not very good with math, nor finances.  Combing your natural hair takes no time, and no money, versus perming your hair takes a lot of time and costs a lot of money.

Black by Nature

The Afro

Black men, for the most part, who are self hating, love a Black woman with natural hair and nothing false on her body.  Heck, I've seen Black women without makeup that I had love at first site with.  No Black man worth his salt would ever tell a Black woman to perm her hair.  Men in general do not even think like that.  So who are you trying to get with permed hair?  Black men?  Yet, Black women complain they can't get a good Black man.  Maybe your fake hair is driving the real Black men away and you're getting the pick up a pie that's not that tasty to begin with.

Black women complain about their hair not growing.  It's not true.  First of all most Black women, in general, that I know and just happen to see, have zero nutrition.  They are severely overweight and eat crap, and i literally mean they are shoveling poop into their bodies and expecting miracles.  What Black woman you know that eats 6 helpings of vegetables, 5 helpings of essential fats from natural meats and poultry, protein from grass fed cows, meat free range chickens, and eggs from free range chickens, has bad hair?  None!  You know why?  Because she nourishes her body and consequentially her hair.  If you're as a big as a house, and eat fast food, or eat out in general, and don't ever cook your own stuff in a natural fat like butter or pig grease, how else if your hair going to turn out?  And, none of them take a raw food vitamin to supplement their already, crappy, diet.



A small percent are talking about biotin and other "hair" vitamins.  But, what they don't get is, if you're not doing the basics, like in the above paragraph, the biotin and stuff is not going to have any impact.  They murder their hair and kill their roots by perming their hair, then turn around and take biotin while eating fast food.  It's an exercise in insanity.  Trust me, if you eat real old south, home cooked meals, and take raw vitamins, your hair will have no end of growing out, and fast.

Ok now that they growing excuse is out of the picture and since we've established that real Black men prefer natural hair on their Black women, you have no excuses left as to perming and destroying your beautiful African hair.  Beyonce and Rhianna are not the role models you should be looking up to.  Women like Dr. Angela Davis, should be your beauty role models.

Let white women be white women.  Let spanish women be spanish women.  Let asian women be asian women.  You, be a Black woman, because there is only one of you.  It seems, from the outside looking in, that you don't like your own skin when you have a perm or wear a wig.  I'd prefer you put on a baseball cap, before you perm or wear a wig on your head.  Let the sistahs be sistahs.

And, I'm not the first Black man to say this.  This entire story, has been done by sooooooo many Black men.  And, Black women aren't listening.  I'm here to tell you.

Three college football players who saw a teammate get fatally shot by police outside a suburban bar were brutalized by officers and arrested when they tried to help their mortally wounded friend, their lawyer said Wednesday.

One player knows CPR and begged the police to let him try to save Danroy Henry, but instead “they put a gun to his ribs and they told him to back … up or he would be next,” attorney Zelman told The Associated Press.

She said the other two teammates were zapped with stun guns when they tried to intervene. They said Henry, “was on the pavement, handcuffed and dying, and no one was helping him,” she said.

Kieran O’Leary, a spokesman for the Westchester County police, which made the arrests, said the department had received no formal complaint regarding excessive force. “If we received one, we’d look at it,” he said.

Zelman did not make allegations against specific officers, claiming some of them covered their badges.

Their attorney, Bonita Zelman, calls the charges a cover-up for police brutality. She successfully opposed prosecutors' request to postpone Thursday's scheduled court appearance, saying, "If they don't have enough evidence now to bring the case...they didn't have enough to charge them."

A spokesman for Westchester District Attorney Janet DiFiore said Wednesday that the judge in the case had denied a request for a two week delay.

Prosecutors say the four students' cases are part of an ongoing investigation into the Oct. 17 shooting death of the 20-year-old Henry, of Easton, Mass. The junior was shot to death in his car near the scene of a disturbance outside a bar in Thornwood, about 25 miles north of New York City.

Police say Henry sped away and hit two officers after another officer knocked on his car window. Michael Sussman, a lawyer for Henry's family, claims that witnesses, including passengers in the car, contradict the police account. The district attorney is coordinating an investigation.

The teammates were arrested in the chaotic aftermath of the shooting. Three allegedly interfered with getting medical aid to Henry and one was charged with breaking a store window.

Zelman said last month that her clients - Daniel Parker, Joseph Garcia and Yves Delpeche, all 22, and Joseph Romanick, 21 - were brutalized by officers at the scene. Police say they have received no brutality complaint.

After the shooting, Henry was handcuffed and placed on the pavement by officers. Mount Pleasant police Chief Louis Alagno said last week that Henry received treatment from officers within three to five minutes of the first report of a shooting.

But some witnesses have alleged that Henry was neglected for up to 15 minutes after he was shot. Zelman said last month that Parker, of Lauderhill, Fla., knows CPR and begged police to let him try to save Henry, but instead "they put a gun to his ribs and they told him to back ... up or he would be next."

Zelman said she's seeking dismissal so "these false criminal charges won't be hanging over the heads of these innocent kids any longer." She also said some of the defendants' relatives have arranged to fly in from out of state.

Frankly this is just monstrous and thank God there were so many witnesses to completely block the police's story on this. So many people, blatantly and blindly believe the police when they say, someone ran or fled the scene of a crime. The fact is, police lie all the time. I would say, according to a policeman who was giving an instructional speech at law school, that police lie 90% of the time. They have NO obligation to tell the truth, nor do they have to tell you your rights, all of them, under the law. You are obligated to know your rights on your own. Ignorance is no defense, under the law. Therefore, police can lie through their teeth and get away with it. They don't have to tell you anything and they can falsify whatever they want, and do.

For Blacks: But I'm Mixed not Black

Are You Ashamed of Being Black?

So many online websites now offer you the chance to make your own profile.  They give you the chance to personalize your profile and tell your story.  When it comes to the question of race though, many Black people balk at answering, even regardless of the fact that they have provided a picture.  I don't mean to pick on these people, but I am just observing a small fact.  I belong to probably more social websites than anyone on the face of the planet.  So, when I say I have experience, I truly do mean it.  I have observed this: For the most part Black people will insert "mixed" into their race status, instead of African American.

What is Black?

Due to the history of the country's bout with slavery most Black people feel ashamed of their ancestry, even if they don't even know their ancestry.  They assume they have slavery in their ancestry and therefore somehow they feel dehumanized and ashamed of being Black.  But, what is Black?  Pure Africans were originally shipped over from Africa as slaves during colonial America.  However, the purity of African genes, for the most part was diluted long ago.  Due to rampant rape by white people, most African slaves were "mixed".  There were no more pure Africans after a century of systematic rape.  Today's Black American is no more pure than Neapolitan ice cream.  It is nearly redundant then to say that a "Black" person, in America, is mixed.

Yet many Blacks feel they have to go out of their way to assure everyone that they are not "Black" but instead are "mixed".  I wonder how their "Black" mother or father feels about them being ashamed of being associated with being "Black".  It must be such a smack in the face, that they can't even begin to recover from.

Finally, the truth of the matter is, white people, whom these "mixed" Black people are trying to impress, see all Black people as "Black".  When they stand around the water cooler at work, they assuredly say "this Black guy was ...".  I have yet to hear a white person EVER describe a Black person as mixed.  Trust me, I have known close to half a million white people in my life, from all walks of life, all spectrums of philosophy, and all political outlooks.  None have ever described a Black person as anything other than "Black".  They are so very direct about Black vs white that they have called people that look completely Mexican, Puerto Rican etc ... you know swarthy light skinned people with curly hair, as Black.  A white friend of mine thought a very pale Black guy we saw, looked exactly like a very dark Black guy we had met earlier that evening.  He was convinced they looked the same.  This is a white guy that would give me the shirt off his back, so we're not talking some random racist white guy.

Are All Black Americans Descendants of Slaves?

I would highly encourage every Americanized African to research their own heredity and ancestry.  No, all Black people in America are not descended from slaves.  While there were slaves in America, it didn't take off like gang busters until after Shay's Rebellion, where white farmers, indentured servants, rose up against tyrannical taxes and foreclosure on their farms.  After this rebellion, Black, obvious, slaves were taken to ensure that the white rebellion would never happen again.  The rebellion was not over until nearly 1790.  The 13th Amendment which abolished slavery as we know it, was adopted and implemented nearly in 1866.  So slavery in America was basically only in operation for 70 years.  This fact alone staggers most Americans, because they think that slavery lasted for hundreds of years.

There was a sizable free population of Blacks in America before slavery took hold and while slavery was going on.  In fact, it was these free Blacks that helped shaped early American view points on the ugliness of slavery.  Some of the greatest American leaders back then were Black.  In American history next to Abraham Lincoln in terms of fame, Frederick Douglass is as famous and was of course Black, being an escaped slave.  He was a statesman, orator and author of many books.

Why the Shame to Be Black?

While kids today are mixing more with different races more than ever, they feel all the more ostracized on the issue of race.  They may play with whites and asians, but when it comes to self identity, they are afraid to admit they are Black.  Instead they wish to be "mixed".  While the white American has no problem admitting he's white, and the asian American has no problem admitting he's asian, the Black American seeks to be identified as mixed instead, although his white and asian buddy will see and describe him as "Black".

I personally know a Black guy who not only doesn't claim he's Black, but then turns around and talks about "Black folk".  Everyone of course laughs at him behind his back, but goes along with his racial tirades in front of his face.  He'll die alone.  It's a case of the Tragic Mulatto all over again.  I hope he doesn't commit suicide though.  I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Conclusion

Be proud that you are Black.  Be just as happy for your asian and white friends.  They don't have a problem being white or asian.  And, as I have shown you, all Black people are pretty much mixed in America.  In fact, other than an African fresh off the boat, it is a rarity to find an Americanized African that is pure blood, going back 6 generations.  I would say it is impossible.  Stranger things have happened, but  I don't think there's a whole bunch of pure blood "Black" people in America.

Claiming to be mixed serves absolutely no purpose.  And, if you're ashamed of being Black, deal with that issue first, because obviously your race is affecting you more than you're admitting.

The nightly news comes on. It has 6 segments.  Two of the segments are dedicated to sports and weather.  The other four segments are dedicated to indoctrinating our society into thinking a certain way.  Chief among these propaganda strategies is the ongoing notion that Black people are criminal.  Across the board, without a shadow of a doubt, Black people are less criminal than any other racial group.  Study after study shows that Black men are less criminal and less violent than their white counterparts.   However, on the nightly news there is an 85% chance that one or even two segments will be dedicated to showing a story of a Black criminal, not a citizen who's been arrested, but a complete criminal.  The news portrays the Black man as a savage beast that definitely needs to be jailed.

So complete is this brainwashing, that Americanized Africans, themselves, are starting to believe it.  I have heard church ladies say without blinking, "those negros ain't no good, they should be locked up anyway."  But, I ask you, locked up for what?

If Black men are less likely to be criminal, and less likely to be violent, then on what grounds are they being jailed?

The War on Black Men

When the 70s hit, the country was still in turmoil over the Vietnam war and in the throws of pain over the civil rights marches.  A survey was done to ask who was the chief proponent of unrest in America.  Categorically, all white people said Americanized Africans were the cause of all the turmoil.  Americanized Africans were even blamed for the Vietnam protest march on Washington, which was nearly entirely white.

The president and prison businesses across the land concocted a plan to land the Americanized African soundly and squarely in jail.  Enter the "war on drugs".   There were already anti-drug laws, but now the new policy was to vehemently go after drugs.  Mind you, this zealous policy to go after drugs, was only at the street level.  I have read report after report, that the importation of drugs is done none other than by the white house, congress and senate itself.  The amount of drugs imported into this country is a staggering number, that would be incapable of being done without, not only the consent of the U.S. government, but the full and supportive cooperation of the U.S. government.  But, all my sources can only say it is logical conjecture.  [probably in order not to get sued or harassed]

With the war on drugs being kicked off, new sentencing started coming down.  Mandatory sentencing for drug associated charges, were implemented.  Who ultimately benefits from this?  The population? No, for the most part, drugs at the street level are not an anti-social endeavor, as compared to robbery and murder.  In fact, one could say drugs are a very social thing.  The tendency is to do drugs WITH other people, not without.  And, contrary to what the mass media tells you, drugs and violence are a rare thing.  Most actual drug violence, happens at a much much higher level than at the street level.  Also, most drugs are consumed inside someone's home and not on the street. [the chic drugs are consumed mainly in party situations i.e. clubs or parties, and overwhelmingly by white people, not people with color]

The majority of the attention shifted to incarcerating the Americanized African.  Where there were very few Blacks in jails at the time, the Black population in jails across America skyrockted.  Blacks went from institutional lows to record breaking highs.  Where blacks were fairly represented in jails across the U.S., they were now becoming 1/4th, 1/3rd, and even 51% of the entire prison population.  This is where it stands today.

Absolutely noone stands up and says what is being done is unconstitutional and criminal.  Everyone is making billions of dollars, who are involved at the higher levels.  The Americanized African is being thrown in jail over drugs.  They are also facing mandatory sentencing, unconstitutional, and staying in jail much much longer.

Mandatory Sentencing

Most Blacks are Jailed on Drug Related Charges

You have to understand, that a majority of these criminal charges involve extremely trivial matters.  A Black man is picked up, searched and a personal amount is found on his person [or planted in quite a few cases].  At court he is sentenced, by mandate, to years and years in jail.  When released, if he is ever found to have drugs on him again, that is far more many years.

Let's give you a scenario that is equal to this.  A Black man is found to have stolen a candy bar from a warehouse parking lot.  He goes to court.  The judge gives him seven years as his sentence.  Upon release, he is hungry again and steals a loaf of bread but is picked up.  He goes to court.  The judge, then gives him 15 years in jail.

This is exactly what is being done across the U.S. on a daily basis, but instead of a candy bar stolen off a warehouse parking lot, in the middle of nowhere, that could be written off without even a thought to it, the "crime" is someone about to go home and do drugs in their living room and go to sleep.

What people don't realize is that we all do "drugs" nearly every day and all day.  Drugs being, a substance you take that alters your state of mind, or body chemistry to achieve an effect: sleepiness, euphoria, relaxation, energy.  Even the president mentioned that drugs should not be criminalized.

The news always portrays legalizing drugs  as leading to anarchy and mass vehicular manslaughter.  But, what they leave out is that huge segments of the population already do drugs and there is none of this anarchy nor mass vehicular manslaughter.  But, we can assume that the media takes this position [which uh journalists aren't supposed to take a position, but so much for being impartial eh?] because they are fed that position by big business, who owns them.

It has been game, set, match for the Black man in America.  An overwhelming majority of Black men are incarcerated on drug related charges.  If you decriminalized drug use, jails would empty out of Black men.  Billions upon billions of U.S. dollars would be lost immediately by the U.S. government, state and local governments and private jails and prisons across the U.S.

The war on drugs has been done simply to execute the Black man.  Nothing more.

The Myth of Being White

So many people confuse statistics with a real application to "individuals".  And, it confuses both white people and Black people alike.  For instance, you might hear a study that says the average white person has 85% more wealth than the average Black person, in America.  While the statistic may be true, it has zero application to everyone.  It is no more applicable to the average white person than the negative statistic is a hindrance to the average Black person.

Have you had a white person say to your face, that they are better than you, simply because they are white?  I have.  Many times.  It doesn't even phase me.  Because, I know a few things, just by them saying this.  First of all, they say this to my face, because they are overwhelmingly threatened by my superiority over them.  I am more handsome, smarter, craftier, wiser, more frugal, patient and generally not a bone head.  I am more educated, more traveled, and live, more often than not,  a far better lifestyle than they do.  Secondly, a truly superior being, such as myself, would never need to evoke verbally that he is better than someone else.  Being better than someone, isn't something that you voice, it just is.

Why White People Are Not Superior to Black People

The vast majority of notions about white people being superior to Black people in America has absolutely nothing to do with any physical, emotional nor social notion of superiority.  White "superiority" is derived from institutional frameworks that seek to steal resources from Black people and deposit it into white hands.

Institutional Racism Includes Poor Whites?

It means simply, that white people from the beginning of the country and even during colonial times, passed laws to ensure than Black labor, intelligence, and social power were sucked out of Blacks and given to whites FOR PROFIT.  It had nothing to do with penis size, education, knowledge or capacity to learn.

Many bigoted whites have taken institutional racism to mean that they are superior humans.  This was never the case.  In fact the truly powerful white people, that got these laws passed, laugh at these country bumpkins who took it upon themselves to express hatred for Blacks, when they themselves were never included in the economic transference of wealth.

Even more shocking was the blow when slavery, Jim Crow and other institutional forms of racism were simply dropped.  And why were they dropped?  Because they were inefficient and unnecessary tools to steal Black wealth and power and deliver it into wealthy white hands.  When technology caught up, slavery was not an issue.  When technology caught up, Black civil rights were not an issue.  Once technology caught up, institutional racism reformed and readjusted to a sleeker form of racism.

Institutional racism became more and more refined to the point that elite whites included poor whites in their scheme to steal riches.  So the very person screaming about how superior he is because he's white, is ignorant of the fact that, he technically speaking isn't even white, in the real scenario of the world.  If he is on a level where he rubs elbows with you, in the same circle, he might as well put on overalls and call himself a negro, because the real "white" people have thrown him under the bus right along with us Black folks.

[take this post as a joke.  it was written in jest.  but, sadly, according to my research it is true.  those that are in the halls of power never intended Blacks to be hated.  They were simply seen as a convenient cheap labor force.  After a century of practicing this, the powers that be have refined their negotiating for a cheap labor force and have made it nearly and art form.  Think about it for a second. And, no there's no need to think I'm talking about some clandestine conspiracy.  It is quite out in the open.]

I have spoken on this many times.  But, I'd like to revisit this today due to the boiling point of the economy right now.  In some parts of the country Blacks are at a 50% unemployment rate.  This rate will become more and more widespread as the economy sinks deeper and deeper into chaos.  As labor becomes more of a burden on a business owner as the economy sinks lower, they will get rid of more and more people before going out of business.

More often than not Blacks are terminated from jobs than any other racial group in America.

In Richard Freeman's (1973) classic study of racial patterns of labor market status from 1947 to 1972, he found that the level of employment for blacks was more volatile than for whites with respect to business cycle conditions. He also found that rates of unemployment for blacks and whites had similar proportionate responses to changes in the business cycle. Thus, when the economy weakens, the unemployment rate for blacks rises more than that for whites in percentage points. Freeman (1973:77) concluded that these findings support "the widely asserted last in, first out pattern of black employment over the cycle." bNet

If anyone tells you different you now know the truth.

So my point isn't that unemployment is bad.  My point isn't that unemployment is up for Blacks.  My point is median family income.

1. Asian Family income - $55,000.00
2. White Family income - $53,000.00 - $54,000.00
3. Hispanic Family income - $32,000.00 - $33,000.00
4. Black Family income - $19,400.00

That right there should shame every Black person reading this article.  I am going to both tell you not only why, it starts at the horrible level, but also why it stays at that level.

How Black Median Family Income is the Worst

So the first introduction to median family income is the understanding of how the median income is calculated and how Black median family income is so disgusting.  Of course median family income is a simple calculation where you round up a coherent group, sum up their wealth and pick the very middle of the range for that particular group.  This is considered to be a much better indicator of how a group really is because the average can be skewed by extremely high numbers or extremely low numbers.  Median doesn't suffer from these disparities.  So throwing a Bill Gates into the white family income does almost nothing to a median white family income calculation.  But, neither does throwing an Oprah Winfrey into the calculation for median Black family income.

Ok so that is the mechanics involved.  How is the Black median family income so terrible?  It is quite simple really and here is a nice easy list to show you.

1. Asian Family income - $55,000.00 [ 1 in 10 are in business]
2. White Family income - $53,000.00 - $54,000.00 [ 1 in 34 are in business ]
3. Hispanic Family income - $32,000.00 - $33,000.00 [  1 in 54 are in business ]
4. Black Family income - $19,400.00 [ 1 in 104 are in business ]

You can readily see exactly how a complete lack of wealth damages the Black family income.  But, that is not all.  There is a second part to that.  It is not enough to say that 1 in 104 Blacks only run a business, there is wealth accumulation involved as well.  We are, in fact, talking about wealth aren't we?

Why Black Median Family Income is Last

There is the why that number is systematically kept low.  I have said before, desegregation was the single most horrific event for Black Americans.  It did absolutely nothing to further Blacks as a race.  Absolutely nothing was gain from desegregation.  Black people are no more free today than they were pre-desegregation era.

I am about to show you why this lie was hoisted on you and why your own Black leaders fooled you.  Numbers do not lie.  Numbers do not judge.  Numbers tell you exactly what is going on.

Let me first inform you, in case you did not know, of what the environment was like for Blacks before desegregation hit America.  Before desegregation, Blacks lived in a separate part of town.  Where ever you went, Blacks had their own section of town, city, or village.  Blacks were systematically forbidden from hanging out in the white section of town.  Blacks were also forbidden from even entering some establishments and nearly no public services were available to Blacks.  Sounds horrible?  Sure, unless you consider this part.  Because Blacks were forbidden to enter white establishments or partake in public services, Blacks had their own businesses, public services and education.

Due to desegregation Black busineses shut down, public services shut down and education shut down.  This is what desegregation did.  In response to desegregation, white politicians redistricted Black communities so that it separated Black communities and made absolutely sure a slim minority of Blacks voted with an obvious majority of white voters.

So desegregation not only gutted all Black businesses, it also removed all Black voting power.  So from 1956 to present Blacks have always come in last in median family income.  And here is why.  To sustain oneself as a group, the money must change hands within the group 8-12 times before leaving the group.  Let me put that in simpler terms.  All money Black people make, from jobs, business or services, needs to go to another Black person 12 times before it leaves out of the Black community, for the Black community to survive.

With that definition in mind then, let's take a look at our list and see what is happening:

1. Hispanic money bounces 6-7 times
2. White money bounces 8-12 times
3. Arab and Asian money bounces 13-14 times
4. Jewish money bounces 18 times
5. Black money ...... DOES NOT BOUNCE AT ALL

It is enough to make you cry.  But wait, there's more bad news.  Not only does Black money not bounce at all, but every dollar that a Black person spends, the entire Black community loses $11.

Let me repeat that and put it separate so you can see it boldly and clearly.

• All Black money is completely lost out of the community and no incoming money is kept not even once
• Every dollar spent by a black person, 11 dollars is flushed down the drain in loses

That is why Black median income comes in last place.  That is why Black median income is declining.  That is why Black median income stays in last place.

Conclusion to Black Median Household Income

It isn't Obama.  It isn't the KluKluxKlan.  It is your own ignorance, in the most technical sense of the word. [ ignorance means you do not know. not stupid, which means you know and ignore it. ]  You are ignorant of the fact of how to accumulate wealth, and even with wealth, you do not know how to keep the wealth you do have.

The only way to equality for a Black person is to own his own business.  The only way to equality for a Black person is to buy all of his goods and services from a Black owned business.  The only way to equality for a Black person is for a community of Black people to open their own businesses and services and only shop from each other.

There is no other road to equality.  Forget Dr. Martin Luther King.  He didn't know.   Forget Malcom X.  He didn't know either.  Forget Louis Farrakhan.  He doesn't know, or maybe he's not sharing it with you.  [ of them all, he might actually know ]

Black people need to own:

• grocery stores
• convenience stores
• gas stations
• fast food restaurants
• restarurants
• supply stores
• restaurant supply stores
• hair salons
• nail salons
• day spas
• shoe stores
• beauty supply stores
• clothing stores
• men's clothing stores
• ladies' clothing stores
• children's clothing stores
• print shops
• dress maker shops
• shoe maker shops
• butcher shops
• bakery shops
• coffee shops
• electronic repair shops
• computer repair shops
• cell phone shops
• bridal shops
• marriage counseling shops
• dentist offices
• medical supply stores
• doctor's offices
• psychiatric offices
• pharmacies
• drug stores
• liquor stores
• credit unions
• banks
• clothing cleaner shops
• bars
• night clubs
• children arcades
• 2nd hand stores
• newborn stores
• gardening supply stores
• car supply stores
• florist shops
• cigar shops
• maid services
• gardening services
• pool services
• construction company
• contractors
• housing supply stores
• long distances services
• cell phone services
• internet services
• internet hosting servies
• web design services
• home design services
• laundromat

Some cities have a whopping  65% - 90% Black population in them, and NONE of the businesses just listed are owned by Blacks in those cities.  You could pick 7 of those businesses listed above, setup on one block in the city and there would be no reason why the Black community couldn't buy and support it.  Everyone needs food, gas, convenience.  In a city with a majority Black people in it, there should be no reason why that majority shouldn't own most of the wealth in the city.  But, time and again all of the wealth is sapped out of that majority and goes to other communities.

It is not a call you ever want to receive.  As a father or mother, you never want to receive a call that someone has done something to your child.  Let's add to the horror now that you receive the call and you find out a cop has punched your teenage daughter in the face.  Not only that, but that the entire incident was over jaywalking, but not jaywalking down Madison avenue, but a side street in a residential area.

This is exactly what happened when Seattle cop  Ian P. Walsh punched a teenage bystander full in the face.  This is the second time in only a matter of weeks. Walsh  punching a teenage girl in the face after stopping her for jaywalking.  But the sheer craziness is that the officer had stopped a young man for jaywalking and then wanted to stop everyone on the street for jaywalking and issue them all tickets, but instead he attempted to arrest one young lady.  Yes, he wanted to arrest a young lady for jaywalking.

What is completely insane is that the video starts with the police manhandling the young lady for jaywalking.  I don't know about Seattle, but in my city you receive a ticket for jaywalking.  And, there is no cause ever to arrest someone who is jaywalking, and definitely no cause to manhandle, beat and throw a jaywalker on a steel car.  This policeman should be put in jail for assaulting a citizen.  The parents of both teens need to bring civil suits against both the city and the officer,  Ian P. Walsh, in question for violence against their teen daughters.  Noone should tolerate this from police.  Police are not here to beat on citizens.  Police do not have carte blanche to stomp, kick, racially antagonize citizens.  Any police who do, should be put in jail for their crimes, and definitely ousted from the police force.


It later came out that the police department refuses to even enter the video... actually multiple videos from different sources, into evidence against the officer.  The entire police union came to the rescue of this  Ian P. Walsh and are saying he was justified for

• punching a 
• teenage  
• girl  

in the face. This stinks of cover-up.  It is clear that the police chief in question has no control over his officers.  And why do I say that?  --- See the Video Below ---




UPDATE: Officer Ian P. Walsh is now listed as an offender that does violence against women and has been taken off of duty and reassigned for training.

My Perspective: Playing Video Games as a Black Boy

I Can Only Be White

That sends out a strong message to children.  Only white people can be heroes.  In fact, not only can only white people be heroes, but only white people can be arch-nemesis too.  Black people in video games are relegated to a status of not 2nd class citizens, but 3rd, 4th or insignificant class citizens.  And, while some gaming companies make a minimal effort to include darker hues in their heroic characters, the characters remain white for all intents and purposes.  They are white people with a tan, nothing more.

Too often white people think of only their perspective on things.  If Black people speak up and say anything, white people overreact and claim that the Black person is being illogical and uncompromising.  It is quite the double standard.  Most white people that react this way are not being intellectually honest.  Obviously, the white perspective on things is not the only perspective on things.  Even those white people that propose to try and help the Black man, can only still see things from the white perspective.

I am presenting, the real perspective of gaming from a Black man's perspective, mine.  I am nothing, if not intellectually honest about the entire situation.  Now while there are those who control gaming companies to put in storylines that seek to hammer home messages of "continued poverty is good" for everyone, this is not my focus for this particular article.  Yes, I know it goes on and we all suffer for that.  And, if you need me to do an article on that, I will.  After all, I am Libertarian, I see the system that seeks to pit all of us against each other while it grows to mammoth size in plain view.  Yes yes, you have my ear on that.  But, this article is for you to understand how Black children are continually made to feel inferior while "being entertained".

Kneejerk Reactions to Black Perspectives



Most often, white people will have a kneejerk reaction to Black people that speak up about their situation or their perspective on any given topic.  It happens all the time in politics.  Now that the president is half Black, these reactions occur more and more often.

Let's set the playing field for this gaming discussion.  Noone will have a kneejerk reaction until the entire article is read.  So often people read the first paragraphs of my articles and write a comment.  I have to then point out that what they were reacting to was completely refuted in the last half of the article.

I watched a video of a Black man that also is a "gamer" discussing Blacks in video games.  The reaction that the white commentators had were just out the box.

• Censorship - some said that it was unnecessary to even make such a video.  While this might seem like a very warm and caring comment to make, at the end of the day it's censorship.  So if he followed those guidelines, he would never speak, i.e. censorship.
• Hate - some reacted with poor hatred, as in "don't play the game then".  Apparently Black people can either pay their money and suffer through the annoying treatment of Black people in video games or not play any video games.

As you can see both sides - the caring side and the hating side - had the same end result: shut up Black man.

One of the most popular and ... over the top violent game series to date is Grand Theft Auto.  If anyone takes two seconds to look into it in real life, they would see that white people have cornered the market in this underground industry.  There have been movies made about it, books, news reports.  While the game is not strictly focused on GTA, it is a component in the game.  The focus of this game series, for those who do not know, or for those who are too dense to realize what is going on, even while they play it, is that your hero, and that term is used lightly, is attempting to climb the ranks of some organized crime organization / family.  There was an entire expansion dedicated to a Black version of the hero.  He did sound "black".  He did have a bunch of Black friends.  In all the other GTA games, the hero climbs the ranks of an organized crime syndicate.  For the Black installment of the game, he's just a gang-banger.  And, as far as sounding "Black", it's a caracature of how Black people are portrayed on T.V. today, no-class, no-school, rapper, jail-loving, shuckin and jiving negros.  Apparently, Black people, once again, cannot be organized.  What is strange is that all other installments of the game, went througout the world to find a particular ethnic organized crime syndicate to portray in the game.  With the Black installment, they ignored the thousands of Black organized crime syndicates and just put South Central in the game.

Black Heroes in Games

As mentioned at the beginning, Black gamers are relegated to the outside when it comes to playing heroic characters.  Young Black boys, who play video games will quickly get the message, subtle or otherwise, that to be heroic, you must be white.  I probably have over 500 video games sitting next to me in my library.  Other than GTA, as mentioned above, all the heroic characters are white, or worse, a white woman.  And, before you get up in arms about the word worse, understand that the target for 90% of video games are boys / men.  Making the hero of a story, a violent story at that, a woman, messes up all sorts of gender issues: violence again women for starters; emasculation of men.  Playing a white, female, hero is not something you should want your little Black son to be doing.  It's bad enough the games are violent.  You definitely do not want him identifying a female as the focus of his persona.

For the most part Black characters fall into 3 categories:

• The Monkey - the screaming, permanently angry boss type non-player-character that is "over there" and that you only see when you have done something wrong, so he's angry and throws poop at you.  It is very subtle in its delivery, but this is how the portrayal is.  You can find this in movies too.
• The flunky - the fodder that you wade through to get to characters with lines or boss fight.
• Invisible - you can have a game with a city system with 1 million people in it, and there won't even be a Black face in the crowd.  I don't know if the developers are just wishing there would be a city like this or what, but it's amazing to see.  FYI, Black people are in every city in the world.  No, not African-Americans, Black people, you know the ones form Africa.

The message is clear:

1. Black people [who look and act like real black people, not two dimensional stereotypes] cannot be heroic, smart, smooth, eloquent, daring, brave, charming, dashing and wise
2. Black people cannot be villains who are: conniving, sinister, daring, geniuses, educated, powerful, resourceful.
3. Black people cannot even be victims: damsels in distress; worthy of saving; innocent; by-standers; beautiful; alluring; hopeless.

Think for a second, if you were making a fantastic story, those 3 things would be all you need to make it epic.  And, this is not how Black people are portrayed in 99.99999999% of the games.

So many years, I have played games where you couldn't even pick a Black person.  I could choose between a white man and 20 different sub-human races, including animals, but not a Black man. LOL  Isn't that crazy?  I could be a werewolf, but not a Black man.  I could be a two legged goat that talks, but not a Black man.  I could be an Elven female with breasts that could float the Titanic, but not a Black man.

Black Wizards, Witches and Paladins?

It has been argued that there can't be Black wizards and paladins in video games because that was only in Europe.  Well, sparky, unless you're a complete lunatic, there were no white wizards, mages, sorcerers, conjurers and magicians in Europe either.  The entire premise is fantasy.  And, if I read history correctly, the most fantastic tales of magic come from the African continent.  White explorers were actually afraid to venture there because of the tales of high magic.  Even those that did travel there, for a long time stayed on their ships, because they were afraid of going into the deep interior due to these tales.  And, no it wasn't about lions and tigers they feared, remember they hunted those, it was the fear of magic.

Morpheus = God of Dreams

It amazes me that people can believe in a white wizard, but a Black wizard is just too unbelievable.  I understand that little to no knowledge of the largest continent on the planet is taught in schools, but surely someone has picked up a book somewhere and read about the snake king, or the virgin birth magic, or the kingdom of gold.  Am I blowing your mind yet?  I bet you don't know anything about those tales.  One of them is completely true.  The others... I assume were just wive's tales.

A comedian was doing a skit and he said people are stupid and here's why: "in the harry potter book the author revealed that Dumbledor is gay.  People were up in arms and said they could not believe he was gay.  But, they could believe he was a wizard, but not that he was gay."

That's the same way I think about the Black wizard argument.  I just shake my head when people say stuff like that.

Conclusion

For me, it's too late.  I'm not impressionable any more.  But for your young Black boys, please choose their games carefully.  Do not reinforce the message that only white people can be heroes.  Do not buy them games like that.  Yes, that means you have to sit down and look at the game.  Yes, that means you have to be a Black parent to your children.

If you're one of these new age parents that have to hold a conference with your child if you say no, go ahead and get them to first understand what is going on, and get their agreement, that it is better not to play the game. [in my day if Mama said no, it was no.  There was no U.N. meeting about it.]  But, make sure you get agreement from them that it is better form them not to get the game.  This way, they won't sneak and get the game behind your back.  Go and research games that portray Black people are real live heroes.  Go and research games that show that Black people can be evil, nuclear physicist geniuses and not pimps and prostitutes.

It is going to take someone like me starting up a gaming company myself, I believe, before Black people are fairly and adequately and EPICLY portrayed in video games.  Let's face it.  You don't play a video game to watch someone plant tomatoes.  Oh wait, that stupid Sims game does exist.  Ok, normal humans don't want that.  They want larger than life heroes and larger than life villains.  Ergo, visa vis, concordantly, the Black people in video games should be: larger than life.  Black people in video games should be Heroes, in every sense of the word.  Black people in video games should be villains, in every sense of the word.  Black people in video games should be victims, in every sense of the word.

UPDATE:

A Black actor put his resume online and asked to be written into a series as a Black gamer.  Everyone white person that commented on his profile all came with hate and told him to shut up and not bring up race.  On the show there are no Black people.  Not even in the background. LOL  It's a double standard.  Don't bring up race, but we don't want Black people on the show.  Makes me laugh.
