Elon Musk Amazed Australians Can't Afford Electricity (video)

In a quick 60 Minute Australia segment, interviewing Elon Musk, and the lead up to creating the world's largest battery, the announcer informed Elon Musk that quite a few Australians couldn't afford power, to which Elon Musk reacted with shock and amazement.

From Elon Musk's point of view, there should be no reason that Australia, rich with resources, including oil and coal, should ever have electricity that costs more than the most minuscule amount. On top of that, he said the nation continent was full of renewables like solar, wind, and hydro which they could be exploiting for even more cheap energy.

To cap it off, Australian Billionaire, Mike Cannon, readily accepted Elon Musk's proposal to built the largest battery in the world in Australia, to help stabilize the electric grid. After some consultation with his team, not only did Elon Musk confirm he would, but Mike Cannon got promises of hundreds of millions of dollars from investors on down to housewives sick and tired of a busted unstable electric system.

But, nothing could have prepared Elon Musk for the hotbed of intrigue and mockery he was walking into under the Malcolm Turnbull government. They were convinced Elon Musk was all fluff and that his shiny battery would do absolutely nothing.

Not only was Elon Musk's battery the largest in the world, but the grid boasts the most stability, in probably the world.

I guess Malcolm Turnbull wasn't up on what 100gigawatts of battery storage could do for a power grid.
