Fire at "General Motors" in Indiana: four people injured


An explosion occurred yesterday at the factory of American automaker "General Motors", located in Marion (Indiana). According to local authorities, as a consequence of the accident, four people have been affected.

The reason of the explosion has not been established yet. According to media reports, the company could leak of chlorine and other chemicals. At the scene of the accident, there are several fire brigades, all staff were evacuated.

The plant in Marion produced, in particular, stamped body parts for "General Motors" cars. The enterprise employs more than 1.4 thousand people.

Marion is located approximately 100 km north of the state capital - Indianapolis.
