You have to realize a lot of "Black" people hate being Black. And even worse, being reminded they came from Africa. I'm not going to put labels like "self-hate" on them, but ... there you go.
Now, as for me personally, I am OK with being called:
African-Americans
negro [which simply means Black]
African-American [which is descriptive, and since I'm an artist, I think in color anyway, unlike most people who actually think in black and white]
Black [which is short, quick and to the point ]
I for one, am not hating being Black. I lived in Africa. It's the richest continent on the planet, ... uh ... natural-resource-wise, but the IMF / World Bank has raped every single country there and colonialism has NOT stopped ... but I digress.
Back to the self-haters ... so Black folk are now making videos against being called African-American. It is a slap in the face of everyone of those people in the 60s that were shot, mamed, jailed, beaten up, dogs sicked on, abused, just so white people would recognise us as 1. humans and 2. Americans just like everyone else. I'm not some idiot that doesn't study history, and the 60s is frankly not that far back, i mean ... seriously.
For Black people to sit up here in turn of the mellenium and act all high minded, is pathetic. People died so we could be called African-American and not colored or worse. It's pure ignorance and hubris to put their memory to shame.
One Black guy made a video claiming he had never been to Africa ... :/ Nor have half the Italians alive in this country, but will say point blank they are italian ... or scottish ... or irish ... or french ... or german .... or japanese ... or korean. Only Black people have a problem with where they're from.
Haven't We Raped the Only Western Black Country Enough?
From the Washington Post describing Haiti -
destitute, corrupt and now ruined country...
That's right. That's how the major news organizations describe the only Black Western country. I wonder why they would say the country is destitute, corrupt and ruined? Giving them the benefit of the doubt, that they are innocently saying the county is poor - destitute, that the earthquake devastated their capital - ruined, there can be no innocence about calling a country corrupt. It is an insult of the highest order. Now if the country is in fact corrupt, the insult is well placed. Let's explore then if Haiti is in fact corrupt or maybe the Washington Post is trying to conceal the fact that the U.S. is corrupt.
Is Haiti Corrupt?
The short answer is no. The long answer is, Haitians are not corrupt, but the Europeans who hated that Black slaves revolting, and winning their independence, are. In Fact not only did the Black slaves of Haiti overthrow their white European slave owners, but they also then helped nearly all of central and South American countries also overthrow their European oppressors. And, for this, did they receive thanks? No, in fact
"the nation of former slaves was excluded from the hemisphere's first regional meeting of independent nations, held in Panama in 1826. Furthermore, owing to entrenched opposition from Southern slave states, Haiti did not receive U.S. diplomatic recognition until 1862 (after those states had seceded from the Union) – largely through the efforts of anti-slavery senator Charles Sumner of Massachusetts."
The first ruler of Haiti, the one to give the country its name, Jean-Jaque Dessalines, overthrew and ousted the French from the country by warfare. Just a scant 2 years later, his 2 advisors conspired and had him assassinated. Wait! Nowhere in any encyclopedia does it tell you about the actual conspiracy. ...hmmm I wonder if these 2 Black men conspired with ??? other Black men? Unlikely! Oh and in the books they say that Dessalines was strict and that the Black Haitians felt as if they were still slaves, due to his militant attitude of everyone should work to maintain the plantations to keep the country's export business going.
A couple of notes here. First of all, there is nothing comparable to being a slave, except being a slave. A free man working his own land to keep the country's economy going, would never feel like a slave. Dessalines immediately declared that no white person could own land in Haiti, and put it in the constitution. Secondly, Haiti had a hierarchy of skin color. White on top, mulatto in the middle and dark on bottom. I am positive that it stuck in their craw that a dark Black man was general and overthrew a European oppressor, to no end. To say that the top two advisers just up and decided to assassinate him would be like saying Judas, disciple of Jesus, just decided to have Jesus killed by himself. It is ridiculous to even suggest it. This dark Black man wielded real power and knew how to make his country successful and profitable. He went from being a slave for 30 years, to ruling the country.
So from the beginning the white man had his fingers stuck in the Black nation. In fact after getting their freedom from France, a later leader, with no spine, agreed to repay France for "loss of property" on threat of invasion. That debt took 125 years to pay off. Fast forward a bit and more cowardly leaders let white men get their fingers back in the Haitian pie. The Germans controlled 80% of all exports in Haiti. America, not wanting the Germans to have so much control, overthrew the country and occupied it, and setup American banks there who have never let go. America later on repeated the same thing, and overthrew a democratically elected president of the country and setup a dictator. Again they invaded to setup a puppet president only after he agreed to everything the world bank and IMF told him to do. America also sent American food products to be sold in Haiti, rice and corn, which was subsidized by our government, which cost 3 times less than what local farmers could sell them for. These products which had formerly had a 50% tariff on them, were slashed down to 3% after threatening the president of Haiti. This drove nearly all of the farmers out of business and left them homeless for lack of money. The entire country became dependent on foreign aid to feed itself.
Is Haiti corrupt? No. The white Europeans and Americans who have raped the country over and over and over have corrupted the 2nd oldest Black nation in the Western hemisphere.
The world then turns around and tries to demonize the country. Calling it corrupt and reporting the horrors of a leader that America put in power to begin with.
Why Was the Earthquake so Bad?
For the scientific explanation we turn to an Al Jazeera meteorologist who explained the tectonic reasoning behind the actual earthquake.
She says the problems are all due to where the Caribbean plate is situated. Haiti sits on a faultline in the earth's crust called the Enriquillo-Plantain Garden Fault. At 4:53 pm local time, the Caribbean Plate slipped against the North America plate, causing a massive tremor of 7.0 magnitude. That was quickly followed by giant aftershocks - at least 28 of them so far. It's the worst earthquake to hit the island in more than 200 years. The capital Port-au-Prince is only 15km from the epicenter of the quake. More than a million people live there, and it has been almost completely devastated according to witnesses. The impact on the surface was apparently made much more intense, because the movement between the two plates happened only 10km below the surface.
Briefly it means that plate America sits on is moving west, the South American plate is moving north and the Caribbean plate is moving east. Port-au-Prince sits squarely in the middle of all 3.
Also, understand something about the measurement of earthquakes. A magnitude is an algorithmic measurement not arithmetic measurement. Meaning, a magnitude 2 earthquake isn't double a magnitude 1.0 earthquake, it is 10 times a magnitude 1.0 earthquake. Also a magnitude 7 earthquake is 10 times a magnitude 6 earthquake. You can clearly see this by the way they note the earthquake magnitude: 1.1; 1.2; 1.3; 1.4... etc.
But that is just the scientific reason. There have been hundreds of earthquakes on small islands around the world, an nowhere was there even a 10th of the devastation that there was in Haiti. Why?
Go back and read the top part of this article. Every building in Port-au-Prince was built to a sub par standard. There were absolutely not even one building constructed with steel. Not even basic steel rods.
"You could tell very easily that these buildings were not going to survive even a [magnitude] 2 earthquake," said Cletus Springer, director of the Department of Sustainable Development at OAS [Organization of American States] in Washington.
Much of the poor-quality work can be traced to the grinding poverty pervasive in Haiti, he said. "As we know, the poverty in Haiti lends itself to people building where they want, how they can," he said. "It was our experience, especially coming out of Grenada, that in the poorer countries the construction quality standards are pretty lax,"
So a country that was once one of the richest countries in the west, has been so hammered by the white man, to end up among the poorest.
In the US, Barack Obama pledged $100m in aid to Haiti and said the US would grant "every element of our national capacity, our diplomacy and development assistance, the power of our military and most importantly, the compassion of our country" to Haiti.
I normally don't speak ill of people, but I doubt Obama will lift a finger to actually help Haiti. Oh I'm sure he will sign a pledge of aid to Haiti. But that aid will be in this form:
aid goes to buy food
food is purchased from American farmers
aid goes to buy transport
transport is purchased from American transporters
aid goes to pay for distribution of food
distribution are American workers
That takes care of all the aid. Look, $100 million went to aid Haiti, but somehow $99 million ended up in American hands. Oh you bet I'm being just cynical. No, this is how politics is done. The $100 million isn't free aid, it's a promise to a campaign contributor to get a kick back. U.S. politics has to be the most corrupt in the world. And, you're paying for the aid to begin with. Did you vote to give aid to Haiti? Did you vote on how the aid was going to be paid out? Don't worry, I'm paying too.
So while everyone is crying about Haiti and asking you to donate, why don't you call them and make your pledge and just before they say thanks and hang up, ask them how exactly will the aid be paid out. And, I want you to wait for a detailed explanation including which farm is the food being bought from.
If you wanna rattle some cages, ask real questions. Don't just give your money. Do you mind if 90 cents of your dollar goes into some big corporations pocket? I damn well do.
Finally, there is not one real news organization that will stand up and call a spade a spade. Haiti isn't corrupt. Haiti is in the grips of white power. White power has raped and pillaged the country and made it pay over and over and over for daring to get its independence from white people. 25 years ago, Haiti fed itself and no white power had a foothold in their agriculture. 25 years later the entire country cannot feed itself. 25 years later Haiti is the largest importer of American rice IN THE WORLD. 10 million people import the largest amount of rice grown in America out of the entire billions of people on the planet.
You want to help Haiti? Instead of buying food from American farmers, buy the food from their own Haitian farmers and then hire those same farmers to distribute the food. THAT would be actual aid to Haiti.
Islam is it Really Evil? Are there Really Boogie Men?
I've been researching, watching documentaries, reading up on our little angelic republic and Islam and Osama Bin Laden, and Mr Saddam Hussein.
I'm gonna mess up this quote I'm sure, "news of my death has been greatly exaggerated".
It seems in both cases we not only trained, sold them weapons, made contracts with them, but out and out lied about how bad they were 0.o
It is staggering how awful and HUGE the lies are about these two men.
Oh Oh, and then I found out "terrorism" INCLUDING 9/11 is responsible for a whopping 5,000 American deaths, ever. FIVE THOUSANDS DEATHS! THAT'S A 5 WITH 3 ZEROS. That's it? Wait what?
[ pictured left, real Osama 2001 left, fake Osama 2006 right ] Dude seriously. Honestly. Tell me. What in God's HOLY name is going on? five thousand people. More soldiers have died in Iraq than all the Americans combined have died due to terrorism. 150,000 people die every year from heart disease alone.
When I found out about Osama not being the leader of a terrorist sleeper cell... WAIT when I found out that "AL QUA EDA" is a made up CIA word meaning LITERALLY - "the list" of the Afghanistan freedom fighters. There is no "group" called Al Qua Eda. Then when you go to the CIA website, of the most wanted list, Bin Laden is not wanted in connection withe 9/11, at all. In fact there is no mention of 9/11. Not only that, the CFR, has the full confession by Bin Laden himself saying he not only did not do 9/11, but knew nothing about it. From the information I've looked over from the CIA, the CFR and other actual credible and direct sources, Osama Bin Laden and the Bin Laden Saudi family are welcomed friends by the U.S. government. Man I tell you, I wanted to burn my bra... err... underwear. [declassified materials]
"Al-Qaida,(sic) literally 'the database,' was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians," admits former British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook, whose Foreign Office portfolio included control of British Intelligence Agency MI-6 and the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), in a column published by the UK Guardian newspaper.
In other words, the so-called Al Qaeda, which has been promoted by the Media Cartel as the cause of all bombings and terrorism since the destruction of the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001, is simply a database of CIA trained "terrorists" (or "freedom fighters," depending on your perspective) which has become a convenient Global Boogeyman for the 21st Century.
Overall, the U.S. government looked favorably on the Arab recruitment drives. ... Some of the most ardent cold warriors at [CIA headquarters at] Langley thought this program should be formally endorsed and extended. ... [T]he CIA "examined ways to increase their participation, perhaps in the form of some sort of international brigade," ... Robert Gates [then-head of the CIA's Directorate of Intelligence] recalled. ... At the Islamabad station Milt Bearden felt that bin Laden himself "actually did some very good things" ... But nothing came of it ...
But J. Michael Springmann, head of the non-immigrant visa section at the "CIA-dominated" US consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 1987-88, said he learned that the CIA had a "program to bring people to the United States for terrorist training, people recruited by the CIA and its asset Usama bin Laden, and the idea was to get them trained and send them back to Afghanistan to fight the then Soviets." "Their nationalities for the most part were Pakistani, Palestinian, Syrian, Lebanese." These "recruits without backgrounds" were given visas over Springmann's protests.
WAIT, then I found out that all the 9/11 hijackers are all alive, yes all 19 are alive and well. [ correction 18 are alive, one was already dead before 2001 ] In fact one was issued an apology by our own government.
However as soon as the list of "hijackers" was published, doubts began to arise. Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal told the Arabic Press after meeting with President George W. Bush on Sept. 20th, "It was proved that five of the names included in the FBI list had nothing to do with what happened." 1. Saeed Alghamdi, 2. Mohand Alshehri, 3. Abdul aziz Alomari, 4. Salem Alhazmi
Saudi officials at the embassy were unable to verify the whereabouts of the fifth accused hijacker, 5. Khalid Al-Mihdhar. However, Arab newspapers say Al-Mihdhar is still alive.
A sixth person on the FBI's list, Saudi national 6. Waleed Alshehri, is living in Casablanca, according to an official with the Royal Air Moroc, the Moroccan commercial airline. According to the unnamed official, Alshehri lived in Dayton Beach, Fla., where he took flight training at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Now he works for a Moroccan airline. On Sept. 22, Associated Press reported that Alshehri had spoken to the U.S. embassy in Morocco. "His photograph was released by the FBI, and has been shown in newspapers and on television around the world. That same Mr Al-Shehri has turned up in Morocco, proving clearly that he was not a member of the suicide attack. " - Daily Trust 24th September 2001 "He was reported to have been in Hollywood, Florida, for a month earlier this year but his father, Ahmed, said that Waleed was alive and well and living in Morocco."
2 men with same name cobbled together into terrorist
Omari Number 1 7. Mr. Al-Omari, a pilot with Saudi Airlines, walked into the US embassy in Jeddah to demand why he was being reported as a dead hijacker in the American media.
"a pilot with Saudi Airlines, was astonished to find himself accused of hijacking as well as being dead and has visited the US consulate in Jeddah to demand an explanation." - Independent 17th September 2001
Omari Number 2 8. " a Saudi man has reported to authorities that he is the real Abdulaziz Alomari, and claims his passport was stolen in 1995 while he studied electrical engineering at the University of Denver. Alomari says he informed police of the theft." - ABCNews "I couldn't believe it when the FBI put me on their list. They gave my name and my date of birth, but I am not a suicide bomber. I am here. I am alive. I have no idea how to fly a plane. I had nothing to do with this." - Telegraph 23rd September 2001 "Alomari has since been found in Saudi Arabia and is apparently cleared in the case" - New York Times
9. Mr. Al-Ghamdi is still alive and well and at his job for Tunis Air "I was completely shocked. For the past 10 months I have been based in Tunis with 22 other pilots learning to fly an Airbus 320. The FBI provided no evidence of my presumed involvement in the attacks." - Telegraph 23rd September 2001 "..not dead and had nothing to do with the heinous terror attacks in New York and Washington." - Saudi embassy
10. "Mr Al-Hamzi is 26 and had just returned to work at a petrochemical complex in the industrial eastern city of Yanbou after a holiday in Saudi Arabia when the hijackers struck. He was accused of hijacking the American Airlines Flight 77 that hit the Pentagon." - Telegraph 23rd September 2001
11. Ahmed Alnami (Flight 93) "I'm still alive, as you can see. I was shocked to see my name mentioned by the American Justice Department. I had never even heard of Pennsylvania where the plane I was supposed to have hijacked." He had never lost his passport and found it "very worrying" that his identity appeared to have been "stolen" and published by the FBI without any checks. The FBI had said his "possible residence" was Delray Beach in Florida. " - Telegraph 23rd September 2001
12. Ameer Bukhari "Ameer Bukhari died in a small plane crash last year. " - CNN Correction [ that would have been he died in 2000. Poor guy, may he rest in peace. And hopefully the FBI will apologize for smearing a dead man's name. ]
13. Adnan Bukhari "Adnan Bukhari is still in Florida" - CNN Correction
14. Amer Kamfar "..that a suspect sought by the FBI, Amer Kamfar, was in fact an alive pilot in Arabia. " - Wal Fadjri 21st September 2001 [translate]
15. "Saudi Embassy officials in Washington have challenged his identity. They say a Saudi electrical engineer named Abdulaziz Alomari had his passport and other papers stolen in 1996 in Denver when he was a student and reported the theft to police there at the time. " - BBC
The others are missing or no one knows who the FBI meant by those names. Nearly every one of the men named have all been cleared. Quite a few of them actually work in the U.S. military. Isn't that strange? The Saudi Airlines pilot, along with the airlines considered suing the FBI for defamation of character, of both the pilot and the airline. Needless to say, the FBI blew it off. But still has all 19 on their website.
Robert Mueller, Director of the FBI, has twice been forced to admit on CNN that there is "no legal proof to prove the identities of the suicidal hijackers". identities of the hijackers LATimes The Director of the FBI FBI MUELLER identify hijacker said on September 20 in response to the question: Do you still have a high level of confidence that you can accurately identify the hijackers?
MR. MUELLER: I know I said at the outset that I had a high level of confidence on the identities of the hijackers. We have several hijackers whose identities were those of the names on the manifests. We have several others that are still in question. So it's ... the investigation is ongoing, and I am not certain as to several of the others.
WAIT, when I found out that we tried to force Saddam Hussein to accept World Bank loans and he refused; threatened him, and he refused; cause an uprising, and the people refused; ... send in assassin squads, who failed; .... Man, I tell you, this country of ours.
The US secretary of state has said that South Africa must push its neighbour Zimbabwe to undertake political, social and economic reforms, during a visit to Pretoria.
"South Africa is very aware of the challenges posed by the political crisis in Zimbabwe because South Africa has three million refugees from Zimbabwe," Hillary Clinton said on Friday after talks with Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, South Africa's foreign minister.
"Every one of those refugees represents a failure of the Zimbabwean government to care for its own people and a burden that South Africa has to bear," Clinton said.
An adviser to Jacob Zuma, the South African president, told Al Jazeera that Zuma was keen to see reforms implemented in Zimbabwe.
"[Zuma] is very prepared to engage as far as he can in order to resolve the problems and the challenges that are faced by the Zimbabwean people, because every negative thing that happens in Zimbabwe has a direct impact on South Africa," Lindiwe Zulu said.
"He would like to speed up the process as quickly as possible," she said, adding that Zuma would soon travel to Zimbabwe to hold talks with members of the government in Harare.
Changes sought
The US government is looking for Zimbabwe to pick up the pace of political reform so that donor countries have sufficient incentive to release aid to Harare.
Washington has maintained sanctions against Robert Mugabe, the Zimbabwean president and his closest aides.
The US government has said that the lifting of sanctions is contingent on reforms being implemented by Mugabe's Zanu-PF party and the government it shares with Morgan Tsvangirai, a former opposition leader who is now the country's prime minister.
But Mugabe, who has been president of Zimbabwe since 1980, has said that Western sanctions and interference have caused the economic crisis in his country.
Clinton’s appeal on Friday comes amid efforts by the US government to build better relations with South Africa, which came under strain when the Bush administration was in power.
"I know that the [South African foreign] minister and I are interested in making sure that our two countries not only lead but demonstrate the kind of co-operation that results in positive results for the people of the world," she said.
Clinton later went to HIV/Aids treatment centre in Cullinan, east of Pretoria, where she held talks with Pakishe Aaron, South Africa’s health minister.
"We have to make up for some lost time, but we are looking forward," Clinton said, in reference to what Washington called delays by the former South African government in addressing the health crisis. - Al Jazera
My Solution to Zimbabwe
I think the international community should setup a relief fund in south Africa. Since the South African president "Jacob Zuma, is very prepared to engage as far as he can" I'm sure he wouldn't mind a fund setup in his country. But instead of a fund being setup just for handing out food, it should be for basic needs first yes, but also for training the Zimbabweans for farming, engineering, city planning, city administration, mining and industry. This fund needs to prepare them with the necessary capability to return to their country and run it autonomously. Supposedly this is what the peace corps was set in place for, but I doubt they would go to such lengths. Usually the peace corps is comprised of 22 year old hippie kids, fresh out of college, with the propensity to not bathe.
Mugabe took his country by surprise when he ousted the white settlers, which I see nothing wrong with, but instead of preparing his country for rulership, he was taken control of by the IMF World Bank
The IMF and World Bank have been empowered by the governments which control it (led by the U.S., the U.K., Japan, Germany, France, Canada, and Italy -- the "Group of 7," which holds over 40% of the votes on their boards) with imposing economic austerity policies in the countries of the so-called "Third World" or "global South." Once Southern countries build up large external debts, as most have, they cannot get credit or cash anywhere else and are forced to go to these international institutions and accept whatever conditions are demanded of them. None of the countries has emerged from their debt problems; indeed most countries now have much higher levels of debt than when they first accepted IMF/World Bank "assistance."
While most would demonize Robert Mugabe, once I heard he was dealing with the IMF, I knew the man didn't have a chance. Without even looking at the history, I'm sure they have him over a barrel, the likes of which he can't recover from. If Zimbabwe were smart [it's just an expression mind you, I have heard they were the most educated population once] they would offer terms of exile for Mugabe and his party, with all of the wealth he could take with him, with the condition that he never return and that the IMF seek their retribution from him, and not Zimbabwe.
If you want to see a rich country taken into abject poverty, go look up the story of Venezuela. A lot of people cannot get over the racial factor of Zimbabwe. I know that is myopic of them, that's why I present the case of Venezuela. If it could happen to white people, it can happen to anyone. Anyone who deals with greedy corporate banking is in a world of hurt. The European countries obviously are not the great humanitarians they portray themselves to be. This is the oldest trick in the book. It's simply the modern colonialism.
