CPAC Staw Poll Organizers Trying to "Fix" Their Poll

CPAC Staw Poll Organizers Trying to "Fix" Their Poll

WASHINGTON [ contributed by Ron Ward, fixed by Shakaama ]-- The organizers of a major conservative conference here over the next three days are trying to rig participation in a straw poll, a not-too-subtle attempt to give a Republican presidential candidate other than Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) a chance to win.

For the past two years, Paul has won, by large margins, a straw poll of attendees at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). The results have been something of an embarrassment for CPAC, organized by the American Conservative Union, which comes from a neo-conservative point of view rather than Paul's libertarian-tinged true conservative republican view.

This year, the American Conservative Union and CPAC are moving from independently verifiable, paper ballots to electronic voting, which has been rife with voter fraud, that will be accessible from a computer or a handheld device, said Al Cardenas, the ACU's current president. He said that he hopes this will increase the number of attendees who participate in the straw poll.

"Obviously, in the past, it's been somewhat compromised because only a third of the people who attend voted," Cardenas said in an interview. "It used to be a fairly cumbersome process because you had to do it manually. Now, for the first time this year we're instituting an electronic vote.

"So people can vote through Saturday afternoon, and before, that wasn't the case," he said. "And we're hoping that instead of having a third of those in attendance vote, we'll have two-thirds or more vote."

Ron Paul Has Won CPAC for Two Straight Years
More than 10,000 people are expected to attend, Cardenas said. He said that he wasn't "worried" that Paul would win the straw poll for a third year in a row.

"Curious is more like it," Cardenas said. "In the past, to his credit, about 80, 90, 100 percent of people who were there and liked Ron Paul voted, and probably a very small percentage of those who liked others bothered to vote."

And this year, the straw poll result will have more weight than in most years past, because it comes at a unique moment in the Republican primary. The race is in flux after former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) swept three contests on Tuesday, caucuses in Minnesota and Colorado and a non-binding primary in Missouri that had no impact on winning delegates that help a candidate win the nomination, but nonetheless signal grassroots opposition to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

The primary contest has swung back and forth between Santorum, Romney and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.). All three will be at the conference on Friday to give speeches. And together, the speeches and the straw poll results on Saturday afternoon will resonate with voters and the media looking to see whether Santorum is continuing to develop an organic momentum among grassroots conservatives.

The impact could be all there is to talk about for several days, since besides Maine Republican caucus results that will be announced Saturday night, there are no more primary contests until Feb. 28, when Arizona and Michigan hold primaries.

Paul himself will not attend CPAC. He will campaign in Maine on Saturday. His son, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) will speak at the conference on Thursday afternoon.

For those worried that Paul's campaign will be organizing to get supporters to come to CPAC and vote in the straw poll, Paul's campaign manager, Jesse Benton, said there is no such effort underway.

"We're not participating in this year's event," Benton told HuffPost. He said he wasn't sure if Paul's name would be on the ballot. "We haven't paid attention."

Ron Paul Winning

Ron Paul Winning

For those not paying attention...

Apparently Ron Paul is actually winning the delegates in these caucuses. The media is not reporting this, in hopes that the pressure they put on him will dry up his support. However, unlike the two alleged front runners, Romney [ the Democrat that pretends he's a Republican ] and Gingrich, Ron Paul support believe in their candidate's cause. Ron Paul supporters believe that the cause Ron Paul is running for is much larger than just and election. That being said, media bias against Dr. Paul will not drive away his supporters. It has been shown that the more the media downplays Congressman Paul or tries to ignore him, the more organized and efficient his support gets.

Congressman Ron Paul
With four years to really hone their skills and learn from the miraculous dark horse that was the Obama campaign, the Ron Paul campaign is taking a page right out of the socialist turned Democrat's rule book, GET DELEGATES. While Senator Hillary was scrambling for media attention and general support, Senator Obama was gaining delegates. When convention time rolled around, he had swept the delegates. He used this same strategy to win the presidency as well, as did Bush.

The Paul camp has learned this and is implementing it post haste. The rule book has changed and popular support is no longer the thinking man's method to gain the presidency. While dim witted voters are left to flounder at media attention of candidates that are not going to win the election, people like Bush, Obama and now Paul are winning elections. However, because the media couches the subject in terms the general public cannot understand on any intellectual level, it comes out looking "underhanded".

We are constantly taught that ours is a democratically run country. However, with two seconds of research, one immediately finds that we are not in any way shape, form nor fashion, democratic. Ours is a representative rule. Even are elections are done by representatives. The ultimate voters are delegates and the electoral college. Those are the people that elect candidates and ultimately the president.

Bush did not win the popular vote, everyone knows that. However, he did win the electoral college. And, that is all, in the end, that even matters, as far as the presidency is concerned.

Paul is trying to win this, not come out as Mr. Popularity. It is obvious, with the media blackout that he cannot win that coveted title. So, he'll have to just settle for winning the presidency instead.

Ron Paul supporters seem to understand all of this and participate nearly 100%, unlike the other candidate supporters. They believe in his cause and actually show up to the caucuses and vote in all the primaries. All the polls be damned, it is the people that show up that put buts in seat that count.

Ron Paul Running for President of the U.S.
As the only Republican that is not a Neo-Con [ global government, social engineering, financial engineering, fiscal engineering and crony capitalism ] and as the only real conservative out of the entire bunch that still believes in small government, free markets and real civil rights, Ron Paul stands as the last real Republican and not a RINO [ republican in name only ].

The neo-conservative movement [ where liberals switched to the Republican party ] has dwarfed the entire Republican, conservative party, to the point you cannot identify any republican left. For Gingrich and Romney, both neo-cons, to be presented as the Republican front runners,  it speaks volume about the complete disarray of the party.

The media bias against Dr. Paul also speaks volumes. The media is generally known to be leftist leaning, including Fox News. As such, they would only accept neo-cons as their enemy of choice.

When speaking of "there is not difference between republicans and democrats", it should be understood to mean, "there is no difference between neo-cons and democrats. And, there is no difference. All the neo-cons, which have a 60 year history now, are in fact democrats. They simply name themselves republicans.

So while the nation is focused on neo-cons that get media adoration, Dr. Paul, an actual Libertarian Republican is reviled as some hated enemy, which all Republicans should be, i.e. Libertarian Republicans.

For the media to laud neo-con republicans, is simply an exercise in self-ejaculatory back patting.

Unemployment Rate Drop Faked

Unemployment Rate Drop Faked

As more people drop off of unemployment benefits, after 3 years of collecting unemployment, the already fake unemployment rate drops, almost like a rock.

Understand, there are no new jobs and the millions that were lost are not coming back. If you liberals / RINOs cannot understand this, I don't know what else to say to you.

Deer in Headlights
The government tracks who is ON unemployment. Once your unemployment payments stop, and you cannot receive any more, you fall off the government's unemployment list. So yes, in 2009 millions lost their jobs, after 3 years of collecting unemployment they used up all their payments and cannot get any more. There was not people being hired by the millions all of a sudden. It would take millions upon millions of people getting a job for the unemployment rate to drop so drastically. However, the real explanation of millions using up their unemployment explains the drop.

"The U.S. economy created jobs at the fastest pace in nine months in January, and the unemployment rate unexpectedly dropped to 8.3 percent, its lowest level in three years, since just after Obama took office.

The report meant that unemployment has dropped every month since August, when it was 9.1 percent." - Reuters
The good folks at ZeroHedge [some schmo that goes by the name of Tyler Durden *sigh*][ no i'm not a fan Tyler ] explained it best, so as not to confuse the idiot public.

"A month ago, we joked when we said that for Obama to get the unemployment rate to negative by election time, all he has to do is to crush the labor force participation rate to about 55%. Looks like the good folks at the BLS heard us: it appears that the people not in the labor force exploded by an unprecedented record 1.2 million. No, that's not a typo: 1.2 million people dropped out of the labor force in one month! So as the labor force increased from 153.9 million to 154.4 million, the non institutional population increased by 242.3 million meaning, those not in the labor force surged from 86.7 million to 87.9 million. Which means that the civilian labor force tumbled to a fresh 30 year low of 63.7% as the BLS is seriously planning on eliminating nearly half of the available labor pool from the unemployment calculation. As for the quality of jobs, as withholding taxes roll over Year over year, it can only mean that the US is replacing high paying FIRE jobs with low paying construction and manufacturing. So much for the improvement.

This is the largest absolute jump in 'Persons Not In Labor Force' on record... and biggest percentage jump in 30 years."

Floyd Norris of The New York Times says:

"How many jobs did the American economy add in January?

The Labor Department estimated on Friday that the economy gained 243,000 jobs.

The department also estimated that the economy lost 2,689,000 jobs in the month.

The difference in the two numbers is in seasonal adjustment. Employment always falls in January, as temporary Christmas jobs end. So the government applies seasonal adjustment factors in an effort to discern the real trend of the economy apart from seasonal fluctuations. The actual survey showed the big loss in jobs. The seasonal adjustments produced the reported gain of 243,000 jobs.

A reason to doubt the number is that there has been a tendency in this cycle for the seasonal factors to overstate moves, in both directions. Labor mobility is down, as fewer workers quit to seek better jobs and employers both hire and fire fewer people than they used to do. If the seasonal adjustment was too large, then the gain should be smaller."
And for a real kick in the nuts, we have Numerian over at The Economic Populist reporting:

First, ever since the credit crisis of 2008, there has been a trend in the unemployment report that shows a declining participation rate in the job market. While a whopping number of jobs were created in January, a far larger number of people left the labor force - 1,752,000 in fact. The percent of the total working population who did not have jobs rose to 36.7%, an all time high. It’s no wonder the unemployment rate fell, when the denominator shrinks so markedly. The total number of people employed fell by 737,000. So what do you want to celebrate – the 243,000 who got jobs, or the million or so people who dropped by the wayside and are no longer counted in the data?

To put it bluntly, Obama is not your savior and there was no job creation that rocked 2 million strong in the month of January. People are not working, so much, that their not working dropped them off the list, to the tune of 1.2 million people gone off list. If you account for those people, unemployment is going strong at 10.9%. The numbers reported are faked.

For Blacks: A Message to Black People That Think Obama Loves Black People

A Message to Black People That Think Obama Loves Black People

Speaking with 60 Minutes’ Steve Kroft in an interview that aired Sunday night, the president said Republicans chose to stand on the sidelines while the economy worsened so that they could capitalize on blaming him.

*facepalm* What a load of horse pucky.  The presidency has moved from an equal branch of government, WELL into a powerhouse and Obama has made it rise even more than the prior president Bush.  Obama has unchecked power to do whatever he wants and some silly republican house members can't do anything to stop him.

Anyone who buys that he is a victim is a fool, no no a DAMN FOOL.  Pay attention, he has issued presidential edict after presidential edict.  He has NEVER helped Black folk and has said it point blank that he won't.

Now, after giving his wall street friends billions, he turns around to play the victim?

FOLKS HE'S TRYING TO GET REELECTED.  WHERE IS YOUR BRAIN.

If you don't understand politics why are you even commenting on his interview?  He has created nearly all the legislation that has passed these past 3 years.  Where's your brain?  He is the one that has done nothing for the economy.  He is the one that offered up social security cuts.  He is the one that offered up social program cuts.  He is the one that offered domestic spending cuts.  He is the one that pitted the rich people vs poor people debate, so he could appear to be on our side, after giving away 20 trillion dollars of money we will all have to pay back. Where's your brain?

If you don't understand politics, go read a damn book. The library is free.

He doesn't love US.  He doesn't care about US.  He could give 2 flying leaping lizards about US.  He hasn't done anything for US.  But, he's done plenty to US.

Don't be fooled by the color of his skin.  Obama is against the middle class and the common american citizen.  If he wasn't ... just go look up all the presidential edicts he's made against us ALL.  Take your head out of your hind-side and pay attention.

2008 New Hampshire Primary Ballot Fraud Evidence (Video)

2008 New Hampshire Primary Ballot Fraud Evidence

The 2008 New Hampshire Primary was completely fraudulent. In this secret video, the documenter shows proof that not only are the ballots not secured, nor counted, but that the box itself is not secure. Of course the question is, who is behind the very lax procedures in New Hampshire. And, if happens in New Hampshire, of course it happens in every state. With that said, if it happens in a primary, of course it happens in a presidential election.

Meet Your Local Libertarian Candidates

Meet Your Local Libertarian Candidates

The two party system throws a lot of dust into the air and tries to make sure you are missing 3rd parties.  The reality is between democrat and republican, there is no real option or choice between the two.  They might say one is liberal and one is conservative, but the reality is that YOU the followers of these parties are the liberal or conservatives.  The truth of the matter is that, once in office, the candidates do absolutely nothing different.  A republican or democrat spends spends spends and makes sure they get re-elected.  A democrat is for big government and a republican is for big government.  Where is your choice exactly?

The Old Boy's Club of Democrats and Republicans
Well, there are far more choices now than say 20 years ago.  We have a true choice in the Libertarian party.  Let me clarify something before you automatically assume you understand the Libertarian platform.  Notice any derogatory comments made about the Libertarian party all come from republican / democrat shills.  They are never going to tell you fairly and squarely that the Libertarian party is what every candidate and politician should be after.  Government is supposed to be there simply to protect us from outside invaders and to smooth things out between parties, through judges, and criminals, through the police.  But in their zeal to make a bigger grander government, the democrats and republicans are trying to keep and control you form cradle to grave.  You don't like an issue, take it to the government.  It is the ultimate in mind control.

The reality is that the current parties wish nothing more than to control you and make sure you hand over your money to their nice wall street buddies that got them elected.  It is the ultimate class warfare, with us on the other side.  There cannot be now said that our government is not corrupt.  They cannot deny that they handed over trillions of our dollars, and debt, over to wall street, with the nice name of bail out attached to it.

But, the Libertarian party is here and is strong.  We stand for the constitution.  Imagine a world where you had no taxes whatsoever.  Imagine that you could open up a little shop of your own without having to pay exorbitant licenses and other secret taxes to keep your out of the market.  Our country to return to producing things instead of consuming what other people produced.  We were one of the best manufacturer of goods on the planet, but through the 2 party system America has been gutted.

Every election period we scream throw the bums out.  But the only thing everyone does is ends up electing the same damn person.  Who cares that it's a republican "woman".  She is the same thing as the democrat male.  There is no difference.  But the propaganda machine works over-time to make sure you don't see it.

Here are you local Libertarian candidates.  Contact them and get to know them.  America does not have to go down in a ball of flames.  America does not have to default on our own dollars.  It is a new day and we can see the sun behind these very very gloomy clouds that the democrats and republicans paint.

Met your Libertarians candidates, greet them, love them.  For, they are your best hope for a real future in America.

Lies of Democrats and Republicans

Libertarians in a Nutshell

Libertarians hold the most elected offices of all 3rd parties combined.  We aren't throwing any votes away.

The stranglehold that democrats and republicans have over the media and political marketing is the same propaganda you just regurgitated, i.e. don't vote 3rd party because xyz is terrible and you'll just be doing a disservice to the country.  That would be great if it weren't so patently clear that democrats and republicans feed from the same trough.  Succinctly, there is no actual choice between the two, they are one and the same.  They are both big government.

It's like this.  I was standing at the door of a club one night, talking to the doorman.  Over the course of an hour 1,000 people showed up to the door.  They all went inside, and looked around and said noone was there and left.  I pointed this out to the doorman after the hour was up.  He gave me a shocked look and nodded.  Had they stayed, the club would have had the busiest night ever and on a night when nothing else in the city was going on.

Not to be a fool, I encourage my Libertarian brothers and sisters to do the same.  Vote for our candidates, because the polling and evidence is clear, Libertarian is the closest to the constitution there is and the country is fed up with the big government parties.  If we stay the course, like the club, we will continually pick up those who think they are conservative and those who are fed up with the system that both taxes them to death and is only out to increase the government.

Libertarians started the tea party.  Fox news and other governmental organizations snatched it away from us when they saw people migrating to it EN MASSE. It was never a republican thing, it was a Libertarian thing.

So, look at the tea party.  Look at the numbers.  Again the republicans, trying to shut out libertarians, arrested the movement before it "got out of hand".  They put spin on it and claimed it was a republican thing.

Let's look at the tea party: Gallup reports that 28% of Americans consider themselves to be supporters of the Tea Party.  26% oppose it and the remainder – a full 46% of the population – either doesn’t know or doesn’t care.

That is a lot of potential Libertarians. Please visit my legal website: Las Vegas DUI Lawyer

I Am Not a Teabagger

A Message to Obama Worshipers

*sigh* I've said it before, but apparently, I was ignored.  I AM BLACK.  I VOTED FOR OBAMA.  However, I have a political science degree and can see quite easily what is going on in the country.

Blacks are approaching nearly 50% unemployment.  There has NOT been a pull from Iraq and Afghanistan.  We have lost millions upon millions of jobs.  The dollar has not only sunk to a new low, but is in danger of DEFAULTING EVEN MORE.  Yes, that's right, WE'VE ALREADY DEFAULTED YEARS AGO.

If you have a college degree, even in liberal arts, you'll easily be able to see that Obama has done everything in his power to staff his cabinet with wall street heavy hitters, not just the peons, but the heavy hitters.

I was also registered democrat.  But, with a modicum of homework, I quickly realized that the two parties are one and the same.  *GASP* oh shocking... oh my zeitgeist is come crashing down around my ears, democrats and republicans can't be the same.  Oh, come on.  Really?  You can't be in that much denial.

Anything Bush did, is long gone.  This is the 3rd year of this guy's term of office.  He has signed into law, much legislation of his own.  Also, he was never forced to sign into law anything that was going on during the Bush term.  You do recall that Bush was a Republican and this guy is a Democrat.

I don't need to go into a brief history lesson of how Clinton did not sign into law anything that his Republican predecessor arranged.

Come on, you all are smarter than this.  There have been Black women, men, on this page, Latinos and others who are OBVIOUSLY not republicans.  We are all saying the same thing.  This president is not speaking for the people, he is speaking for wall street.  In fact, Bush wasn't even Republican.  At the end the Republican party and congress fought him tooth and nail.  WHY? Because, he too, was a corporatist.  He ramped up the deficit higher than any democrat / republican preceding him.  This guy is doing the same exact thing.

Give up.  Take your licking and admit that you were duped.  Remember, Obama is POLITICIAN.  Who cares about his speaking abilities when china is raping us, jobs are flooding out of the country, food prices are skyrocketing and the darling of the Democratic party of issues, SOCIAL SECURITY, is the first thing on the chopping block.  What's worse is he has committed unconstitutional crimes over and over and over.

The time for giving him a pass is way over.  Who cares that he's half Black.  Who cares that he's articulate.  Who cares that the country was bad under Bush.  I have a clue for you.  Bush wasn't the cause of the housing bubble.  We Americans were the cause of the housing bubble.  Bush wasn't the cause of this economic depression.  We were the cause of this economic depression.  Bush wasn't the cause of jobs hemorrhaging out of the US.  We were the cause.

For all the blame that I, personally, laid at Bush's feet, the reality was that he no more caused it, than I did.  In fact, the housing bubble started under Reagan, skyrocketed under Clinton and came to a halt under Bush.

For all the bleeding and weeping we have for these people losing their homes, at the end of the day, it is their own greed that got them into it.  Do you think for a second that someone purchasing a $30,000 home EVER got into trouble?  Do you think someone that paid CASH for their home, [ oh an yes 30% of homes are STILL paid for in cash, like everyone did in the 30's 40's and 50's ] got into trouble?

Obama is not special.  He doesn't deserve your worship.  He deserves your scrutiny.  And, do NOT rely on the news to do your thinking for you.

I offer you an olive branch.  Without you, the country cannot be healed.  If the millions of Obama worshipers do not quickly wise up, we are going to be plunged into the worst nightmare, even this current session could not hold a match to.  Please, just stop the Obama worship and think for a second about what is going on.  The wars, the money, the budget, the drop in the dollar, the wall street CONTINUOUS bailouts, the food inflation, the energy inflation, the middle class slipping into poverty, the staggering job loss.

There is an alternative, to this two party monopoly.

What's the Point of Libertarians and the Libertarian Initiated Tea Party Campaign When Republicans are Claming Credit

Republicans Marginalizing Libertarians

Libertarian Party Website
A republican does not equal a Libertarian and a Libertarian does not equal a republican.  Yet, we have republicans taking over every Libertarian initiative.  And, the Libertarians are just laying down and taking it.  You have complete con artists like Wayn Allyn Root, weaseling into the Libertarian party and dictating policy.  The man should be in jail.  He is a black eye on the most constitutional party, since John Hancock signed his name.  You have Dick Army taking over the Tea Party, which was originated and conceived of by the Libertarian Party.

The Republican party is the most disorganized mess since fall of the Roman Empire, and yet somehow the Libertarian party is worse.  What party, in the history of the country, fields absolutely no candidates for any local and state offices at a time when the country is reeling from both main parties giving the country the ole 'what for' without so much as a reach around?  I mean the country is ripe for a 3rd party that espouses complete economic healing for the masses, and yet the Libertarian party is nearly silent and stymied.  They let Fox friggin News take over the Tea Party for God's sakes.

California is trying to pass a decriminalizing marijuana law, a victimless crime, and yet the Libertarian Party is completely silent.  The Libertarian Party should be all over this, taken credit for getting this started, and galvanizing the country on this very issue.  That is, if what's on their website is actually true of what they believe:

1.5    Crime and Justice

Government exists to protect the rights of every individual including life, liberty and property. Criminal laws should be limited to violation of the rights of others through force or fraud, or deliberate actions that place others involuntarily at significant risk of harm. Individuals retain the right to voluntarily assume risk of harm to themselves. We support restitution of the victim to the fullest degree possible at the expense of the criminal or the negligent wrongdoer. We oppose reduction of constitutional safeguards of the rights of the criminally accused. The rights of due process, a speedy trial, legal counsel, trial by jury, and the legal presumption of innocence until proven guilty, must not be denied. We assert the common-law right of juries to judge not only the facts but also the justice of the law.

If an obscure hedge fund manager can go from zero name recognition to being the number 3 republican candidate for senate, by himself, - yes I'm talking about Peter Schiff - then how come an entire battalion of so called libertarians can't field a Libertarian candidate?

Why is it no news organization ever ran a story on Libertarian candidates during this very heated campaign season.  This was the most active off year campaign in the history of modern campaigns.  Obama's approval rating is dropping faster than a fat man's weight on high intensity interval training, yet the Libertarian party is silent.  Everyone hates Obamacare, and where are the Libertarians to put the Democrats nose to the grind?

Ron Paul and Rand Paul are great and all, but they are NOT running as Libertarian candidates.  Stop putting your token into their slot.  Get your own candidate and stand behind him.

It's like this: A friend of mine works as a doorman to a fairly popular night club here in town.  One night people kept coming to the door and looking in and leaving.  Finally he turns to me, counter in hand, and says "had any of them stayed for more than 5 minutes we would have had 1,000 patrons in the club, more people than any of the big named clubs in town put together."

This is exactly what the Libertarian party is doing.  They are putting their tokens into the hats of Republicans, thinking they are the same as Libertarians, when if they just fielded their own candidates and stuck by them, they'd have a firm grasp on the political arena.  There are so many people that are awakened to the shenanigans and the complete illegality of the house and senate, yet the Libertarians are silent.

Libertarians Don't Know Jack About Politics

Harry Reid beat out Repulican candidate Sharon Angle for the U.S. Senate seat for Nevada.  He was down by 4 points in every poll across the board.  He called in favors and got nearly every casino to bus their non-english speaking employees to go vote for him.  He called in favors to get the teachers union to have a 5 day furlow for "teacher's conferences" lasting up till Wednesday, so they could vote for him.  He called in favors to give teachers raises, when the local and state budgets are empty, so they could vote for him.

This is politics.  Not completely legal, but you don't go to jail unless you get caught.

Libertarians have zero inclination about what politics are.  They are not connected to the global elite.  They are not connected to big business.  In fact all of those groups run counter to anything remotely smacking of constitutionality.  The entire point of a Libertarian party is to get the government out of bed with business and big business in particular, and yet they have no clue how to go about it.  You can't say you want to be a fox while wearing a rabbit suit, heck, they don't even come to the fox games toting a fox hunting gun, either / or would be fine.

I just don't get it.

Nevada Republican Party Chairman Chris Comfort to Resign

Nevada Republican Party Chairman Resigning

Three reliable inside sources have told me that Nevada Republican Party Chairman Chris Comfort will be resigning shortly. The details have been more or less worked out since yesterday afternoon; now it’s all just a matter of nicey-nice letters and fluffy marshmallow press releases and kumbaya songs around the GOP campfire. That will probably all happen on Monday. No word on who may replace Comfort as chair.More details as they become available, plus some analysis once all the dust settles. By Elizabeth Crum of Nevada News Bureau

Conclusion

With Reid on the ropes you'd think the Republicans could hold their own and sweep the midterm elections. With the momentum of Scott Brown, you'd think the Republicans would be drinking the champagne already. It is as if there is an orchestrated implosion.

This from the Las Vegas Sun: Nevada Republicans seem more like Democrats this year. They should be ready for a big year, but seem intent on embracing failure, like a blackjack player hitting on 20.

Voters hate democrats and the republicans are a failure as well. But, god forbid a 3rd party should sweep the state elections. Let me see, reduce government spending; repeal these healthcare bills that have raise healthcare costs 10 times since the 1970's; create a flat tax that is fair to all people; remove the federal reserve that has bankrupted the economy with 0% interest rates, insuring that your savings gain nothing. What party could possibly stand for that? Oh that's right LIBERTARIANS. Meanwhile Secretary of State Ross Miller or Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto go unchallenged.

With voters gnashing their teeth and clawing their eyes out at the economy, Nevada being one of the states in the worst possible shape during the depression, the Libertarian party is silent. They could make a huge sweep and yet... *cricket chirp* *sigh*

Peter Schiff Doubles in Polls

Peter Schiff For Senate

He has one of the most well known faces on T.V.. He predicted the housing bubble and the economic disaster we are in now, nearly 6 years ago. He has constantly warned of impending catastrophe and no one listened, because the market was the highest it has ever been. He's Peter Schiff and he is running for U.S. Senate in the state of Connecticut. I have been following him for about two years, personally, so I know he is the real deal.

So many people are clamoring for a real person to be put in Washington. This man has written books and put his money where his mouth is. He runs a small investment brokerage firm. All of his clients did not go under, like other American firm clients did. If you followed his guidance you came out on top. While everyone else was chasing the easy fast money, they fell hard, very hard, just as fast. Not so at Euro Pacific, his investment firm. He is a stay the course, steady and sure, kinda guy.

He has a huge following on youtube, just like Ron Paul. Younger people flock to him, because they are more in tune and brighter than the older generation, that inherently trusts the government. The older generation cannot believe the government would do anything to harm them. They think Washington will improve on its own in the end. Anyone with real wisdom knows that Washington is in the firm grip of corporations that do not want to play by the rules. Washington is in the back pocket of the huge bankers that get themselves exemptions while small bankers and small businesses still have to come under the boot of regulation that supposedly keeps the market fair. Younger voters recognize what is going on and they are searching and hoping for candidates like Peter Schiff.

Peter Schiff appears on MSNBC constantly as the one voice that brings the financial news back to reality. While the show attempts to get its viewers to BUY BUY BUY, a la Cramer, Schiff tells them that these companies are bankrupt and are only being kept afloat by taxpayer bailouts. Without the bailouts the companies have nothing of value in them and produce nothing that would keep the business going, because they squandered all of their real assets away during the bubble. Of course a T.V. show does not want to hear reality, so they always have at least 5 people on to mock Peter Schiff.

The country is bankrupt. Wall street is bankrupt. The only people making any money are people like you and me, who are going to work everyday and producing things. Washington is taking, taking, taking and will never stop until we send someone there who will say "STOP IT!"

Obama never said he was going to say "STOP IT!". He said he was going to change Washington. Well, he has definitely changed it. In but a year government has grown even bigger and takes even more from you. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson never created the government to look after you and be so involved in your life that they directly impact your every move. They never wanted that. In fact, they wanted the federal government to have as little as possible to do with American lives as they could make it. They definitely did not want bankers running the show. They fought tooth and nail to keep bankers out of Washington. But, unless you watch the fox, he will always return to the hen house.

Send Peter Schiff to the Senate. We need someone with a shotgun and a fox call to go to Washington and route out the foxes. Senators are taking bribes for $10,000 and turning around and granting millions in tax payer dollars. I mean, my God. If you're going to sell out the U.S. taxpayer at least get a cool $10 million for it yourself. Goldman sax gave Obama 1 yes that's ONE million in campaign contributions and got billions in return.

We have to send people like Peter Schiff to Washington. There is still light at the end of the tunnel. We cannot throw our hands up in the air and just give up. We can't just sigh and say "oh well, there's nothing we can do." If everyone elects a Peter Schiff into office, we could change Washington overnight.

Right now Wall Street has a strangle hold on Washington. Send people like Peter Schiff to Washigton and that will be over and done with.

Shakaama Live Calling for All Black Bloggers to Start a New Campaign

Campaign for Black Male Marriage

Hi, this is your host Shakaama. I thought long and hard how to start my series on the Black man. I have done an impromptu series on the Black woman, with differing acceptance and result. However, I would like to start a very formal campaign for the Black man. To kick off the series, I would like to start my campaign for Black male marriage. I want to have an entire campaign dedicated to encouraging Black men to get married, and stay married. While mass media does everything in its power to downplay marriage and come against it, nothing can be said about encouraging marriage. But the facts are clear, marriage is the highest form of a relationship on the planet. For a people to be successful, they must first have a wide swath of them be married. The media doesn't encourage this because it is not profitable. It is more profitable to tear someone down, trash them and insult everything about them, than it is to build someone up or point out their strengths.

Follow Kevin_Cardinale on Twitter

To start the campaign, I am calling all Black bloggers to contact me. I thought long and hard about this. We could set a date to launch the campaign and we would all blog about Black male marriage on the same day and keep it up for a few days. The net would have no choice but to recognize the buzz and ensure the success of the campaign. Simply contact me or comment below leaving your blog info. Any link on my blog is actually a do-follow link, so feel free to comment and leave your link. However, any nefarious comments and links will be completely ignored, you know who you are. In return I will contact each and every one of you and setup the date when we launch `privately.

People reading this might say, why only Black bloggers. The answer is simple. White people always complain that Black people look for handouts and do nothing for themselves. This is Black people doing something for ourselves. If you think it unfair that your blog would not be included in the campaign, I don't think it's fair that nearly all media is 99.99999% white. You think Telemundo was started simply as a whim? You think BET was started as a whim? So this is Black people taking the initiative to get out from under the power of someone else and doing our own thing.

Black Male Campaign

As I said the Black male marriage campaign is simply a kick off to the Black male campaign. You do not have to participate in the whole campaign, but if you would like to, I would be happy to correspond with you about each topic each day. It would mean a very successful campaign all around if everything was coordinated.

As it stands, overall, I wish to encourage the Black man to go beyond what he is now.

  • I want to encourage him to learn to speak proper English
  • I want to encourage him to learn everything there is to know about personal finance
  • I want to encourage him to marry so that he can grow his estate
  • I want to encourage him to take a very hands-on and active role in the education of his children
  • I want to encourage him to have the proper attitude about money and to teach that to his children, i.e. sew your own clothes or buy cheap ones, instead of buying name brand to show off (what does a 6 month old need with $100 shoes, he's going to outgrow in a couple of months)
  • I want to encourage him to have tremendous respect for himself
  • I want to encourage him to understand he owes his community, because he is not alone and people have paid dearly for him to be where he is at
  • I want to encourage him to never lay hands on another brother, it should be unthinkable that a Black man should lay his hands on another Black man, just as it is unthinkable for a Black man to lay his hands on a sister
These are but a few of the topics that will be covered in the Black male campaign. Like I said comment below or contact me if you wish to participate, Black bloggers only please. Thank you.

Senator Harry Reid Could Lose His Senate Seat

Senator Harry Reid Running Scared

Normally the senate majority leader position is something that someone would have to die for you to get it. Not so for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. In a state that is 2nd in the nation in foreclosures, 2nd in the nation in unemployment, first in the nation in Black male unemployment and a 33% uninsured health care population, Senator Reid's lofty time ignoring his constituency is up for grabs.

Senator Reid like most congressional leadership, has all but ignored his constituency. With the dramatic win of republican senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts, the writing is on the wall for Democrats. The democrats road in on the upsurge of hate towards Bush, but now that the dust has settled, everyone realizes how much the democrats do not listen to the public.

During both administrations, Bush and Obama, the public overwhelming has been against the bail outs. Calls, emails and letters flooded the offices of congress, to tune of historic proportions asking, threatening and begging them NOT to vote for the bailouts. Both times our congress, and both presidents, voted the bailouts into law. Senator Reid voted for the bailouts as well. And, the bailouts went straight to wall street. So bad and corrupt were the bailouts that it came to light that language was taken out of the legislation to protect taxpayers by limiting company bonuses if they received bailout money. Chris Dodd was key in taking that language out of the legislation. When the company bonuses came to light, congress' hand was revealed. They were all firmly in the back pocket of Wall Street.

I myself received many emails urging me to support my congressmen and senators of Nevada, with an hidden message of "don't protest just go along with the flow." Reid and all of the rest capital hill did not understand the demonstrations and protests at the town hall meetings. Their spin doctors kept trying to say it was a radical republican thing. However, they had no answer when republican senators and representatives received the same protests. Their own spin doctors did not prepare them for what was coming.

With the win of Senator Scott Brown, the democrats have tried to spin it. But, in a state that has been democrat for... all of my life, to go republican is a slap. Not only is that state strongly democrat, but is the most literate, the most intellectual, has one of the highest employment rates. There is no way to put this in a good light for democrats. And, the Scott Brown campaign was easy and straight forward: he ran on old fashioned republican platforms - small government, lower taxes etc.. Obviously the whole Chris Dodd, more government, more taxes is not what the middle class wants. The corruption of the Hill is obvious to everyone with eyes.

With Senator Reid's defeat, the democrats will be reeling and be unable to recover.
